The Atlas Mini Forge was teasing me, taunting me....no she was laughing at me. Razors are one thing but I had to try a knife.

I had a cutoff piece of Damascus from Randy Haas and some micarta scraps. I went to work. I'm sure I didn't follow any knifemaking rules about design or function, especially since I don't know any rules. Here it is though, tell me where I went wrong.

I have a question about the sheath. I used my kydex press to form the sheath and it left a black mark. Any tips for getting that off?

Looks good. Maybe in the future try putting a couple of paper towels down between your press and the leather? I've got a kydex press and never thought to use it to form leather, mostly just shape by hand. If the leather is dry, try a pencil eraser if acetone doesn't work. If nothing else and you haven't waxed or oiled the leather yet try dying a darker shade.
