Yep... I handled a Busse Combat knife for the first time of my life today at our local knife show. It was BATAC LE... It was even the first time I saw any Busse in the country where I currently live (Czech republic). And damn.. what a blade.. I wanted to buy Busse in the future, I thought they are good, nice looking and such. But after handling one I can say.. what an awesome piece of blade it is. Cant wait to put some cash together and score one of these asap.. I want at least BATAC and FSH... these two just speaks to me. Long wait it will be, very long. Now I totally understand all of you. Thanks for listening me..

LOL! Welcome to the madness Steel Rat! Busses are definitely some of the finest knives coming out of America; no doubt about it.

Cant put it out of my mind now.. Damn it. Its like there are knives.. nice knives.. and there are Busse Combat knives. They are just different kind of level from what I felt at that moment. It was so hard to put it back on the table. Didnt have enought cash for that one at the moment. :/

well come to the madness.:D:thumbup: wait till you get ahold of a fbm.

Well thank you all for warm welcome! Appreciate that. :) I have my collection of knives, mainly custom fixed blades with some Chris Reeve blades mixed up. I am student now.. its so hard to be a student and to love GREAT blades..

You poor thing....

What I can tell you about this INFI disease is,

that it gets worse with time.

Even without owning one, I think you are hooked! Welcome to the addiction:-)

It really does change after handling one.

Actually using one reveals even more.

Best fixed blades I've ever used.

Welcome.

Ah, you poor soul. You are now afflicted with INFIDICTION! ;)

Welcome...it won't be cured when you get your first one, but you'll wind up having a bunch of fun!

I hear ya man. I've collected what I thought were cool, off the shelf knives my whole life. Ever since I've owned my first Busse, I dont look at other knives the same again. I'm a knife snob now.

Welcome!!!

I was not able to hold one before buying. I just had to jump in and hope they were as great as they looked.

They are!

Hi and welcome! I'm in a quite similar situation, but I managed to get at least one Busse. It's Bushwacker Mistress and it's an awesome blade. In fact it's such a great knife that I can't wait to get another Bussekin. :) The bad thing is that such a knife costs almost whole monthly wage of a regular worker here.
And like you, I'm a student with a few CRKs too - that's funny. :D
PS: May I ask at which knife show you handled that BATAC? I haven't seen a Busse here as well...

Welcome!!!

+1 Same here Bf, never got to personally handle one. I just went for it and got my hands on one. Then two then three ect. ect. I'm glad i did and i have No Regrets. Oh and Welcome to the Busse Forum.

Welcome to our Madness! :thumbup::D:rolleyes:

Just sell some of your other knives to make way for your first (but not your last) Busse!

Thank you all for warm welcome again! Thank you Boss for the welcome too. Its really great that you can find time to be here on the forums.

resinguy I was actually thinking about that last night. Will wait a little bit and see what happens with my study, work and cash situation.. But I really want my first one BAD!! :)

I am right there with you! I handled a Busse for the first time at a Gun & Knife show about a few weeks ago, and I just bought my 2nd Busse today! I now own a SAR-3 and a BATAC LE! These knives are completely in a class of their own. After handling one at the show, my first order of business was to put virtually all my "nice" knives up for sale, as well as a few lights (I'm a light guy) to free up funds for an EDC and mid-size Busse. The BATAC LE is on it's way and I can't wait to get it! It will be put to the test during my upcoming camping trip next weekend....:D
