I Hate FRN

I always carry my spyderco jester with FRN. However, I am not a big fan. I do find it holds up pretty good, but no better than g10. I love the feel and look of g10 and never had problems with it chipping etc. Ive dropped my BM 710 lots of times on pavement and it looks great. The g10 on the 710 only has one little nick from almost 2 years of being my main edc. The jester looks worse. Kinda worn down and has some deep scratches but nothing terrible:)

....it's nice to have an elegant EDC in the rotation with G-10, micarta, bone, stag or Carbon Fiber handles ( just bought Spyderco Sage with CF....sweet )...but it's hard to beat a well-made FRN handled folder for hard work ! You can really abuse'em without care. I like the pocket-friendly, light weight too.

I'm not a fan of FRN. Out of my 80+ Spyderco's, my only FRN handled Spydie is a native.

Wow 80+ spyderco's wow.
i just have one so far just bought it the Dragonfly serrated FRN. I love it, so light. Looking at a native and others soon.

How is the white FRN I think its FRN unless its G10 does it stain or pick up color from stuff. You think dark denim would stain it blue?

Put any sort of side load on a FRN framed blade and watch the flex.

For what it is worth I have done side by side unscientific comparisons of my linerless FRN and G10 folders for flex and the results surprised me. Some of the G10 flexed more than the FRN did. Not trying to be argumentative or say you are wrong here, but wanted to throw my findings out.

Overall it is what floats your boat that matters in how much you like the knife.

The only FRN handle I have is a Bucklite. I am not a big fan, but it suits that knife and its purpose. It is utilitarian, and not cool to behold. I like G-10, and often file/sand smooth the edges of the handles (if i know I will keep the knife) to make it feel better in my hand. It is easy to shape. If it were ever to chip (which I have never had happen), I would be confident that I could smooth it out and be fine, which would not work out so well with FRN. I guess thats what keeps my from getting a Griptilian.
