I hate injuries...

This morning I smashed my fingertip between two slabs of G11 and the skin split nicely all the way around the front of the nail. Not so much under the nail, like right in front. As if the nail itself cut the skin. This happened at maybe lunchtime, still oozing. sorry, pics not worth it, it does not look gruesome at all. looks like I have crusty blood under my nail.


On the bright side I got some work done today...

No offence intended, but I would beg to differ with you, Chris. I would be happy to trade my 6 day old rotator cuff repair for a finger injury. I'll even kick in a half bottle of Percocet a nearly full bottle of Oxycontin. My hammer shoulder has been out of commission since Feb. Dr. says I should be able to get back in shop forging by Thanksgiving. -Doug
 
sorry to hear about yer rotator cuff. Sucks. Time to do some plain jane stock removal huh.
 
Thanks. A good idea, if I could grind left handed... I am still learning to eat cereal left handed without making a mess. My KMG is taking a long vacation.
 
Well looks like abad week for more than one of us.... This week I got to get a sliver of 1095 pulled out of my EYE.... it started to rust so they had to dig that out too....yea yea I know wheres your safty goggles..had them on .... it got in my eye afterward when i was dusting off.... getting a mini dremmel to the eye.. then having to wear a patch for 12 hours (depth perception gone) not to mention the drops to dialate your eye for the next day and a half....... Not something I want to repeat ...EVER :)
 
I had rotator cuff surgery last april, it took a bout a year to fully recover, but now it's good.

Good luck get a good physical therapist, they are worth it
