I hate it when I need two throws to down a wild boar!

The dreaded wild bore of NYC is best felled with one throw of the kookeri lest he attack with his sharpened subway tokens!

I was waiting for my belt sander, but now I'm gonna use some kinda Natural way of "doing it"
If you buy only the "Magic Khukuris" you won't have too sharpen them ever again.
The more you use them the sharper they get. I only have one Magic Khukuri! :p :grumpy: ;) :D

It's threads like this one that have me anxiously watching the clock to see if it is finally time I can take my meds. ;) :p

In Bugles and a Tiger, Masters talks about how a common misconception is that gurkhas throw their khukuris and they return like a boomerang. He states emphatically that there is no throwing involved.

He does narrate seeing khukuris used to behead a buffallo. In one swing.

No mention of removing eyes, but I guess he didn't get into that level of detail.

To remove the head from the body while leaving the eyes attached is considered an exceptional level of skill. It requires multiple cuts. Only the sharpest naturally sharpened blade, weilded by the most fearsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! warrior can do the trick.

I've been translating the ancient documents lately, and it has become glaringly obvious (shameful that I missed it the first few times) that the Chakma and Karda are actually little baby khukuri seedlings.

Feeding on animal eyes are one of many ways for them to grow ....

Why doesn't someone at HI know all this stuff? Geez.

The Karda and chakma are actually khuks with a genetic condition that dwarfed them to a fraction of their full size. Any eye loss is the fault of the user as both the chakma and karda have HORRIBLE tempers and chip on their shoulders. Eye loss is typically the result of one (or i guess maybe two) scenarios. #1.) someone calls them "midget khuks" they prefer to be called "liitle Khuks", thank you. #2.) some one using them brings up anything to do with Willy Wonka OR the Wizard of Oz...big no-no, always. #3) someone tries to throw them and stick them into a tree. If it's one thing they hate more than anything, it's being tossed!
Mind your manners. Keep your eyes;)

This is no trick -- if you have sharpened your khukuri in some Natural way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You would perhaps prefer a kukri sharpened in an UNNATURAL way ?!
Just remember, this is a family friendly forum. Perverse sharpening techniques should be posted in "Whine and Cheese."
