The problem I have with the sexy-looking, finger groove "ergonomic" handles is that most only work with one grip. If you only use your khukuri to chop, then I guess a plastic hand-fitted handle would be OK. Just don't try to use it for a drawknife, a spade, or to pound in tent stakes. Uses that a working khukuri is often called upon to perform. Put one of those handles on a claw hammer, and then imagine using it to pull nails.
