I have 2 nice knives, and never carry them. Help!

I don't *need* my knife everyday and it is not *necessary* for my work but I hate it if I came across a situation when I needed a knife AND I DIDN'T HAVE ONE HANDY. Be prepared. BTW, I don't ever carry my knife for SD unless a large dog is ready to or already attacking me:D.

Hey Guys...

Getting use to carrying a knife is no problem..
simply put them where you keep your keys, wallet, cell phone, and whatever else you carry...

When you put them in your pocket the next day,, slip the knife in place and continue your day..

When you take all the crap out of your pockets at the end of the day, place the knife with them, and continue the routine...

After a few days of this,, carrying a knife will be a matter of routine...

going out to the shop is sometimes one of the last things as part of getting ready to go out...
Picking a knife or three for the day can be one of the hardest things to do...:)

However with the addition of the Waved Spyderco Endura,, that tohught process has been pretty much taken care of...

Get one of the smaller Byrd knives.:D They're inexpensive (if that's one of your main reasons for not carrying the knives you already have), so it's easily replaced, and for example, the Byrd Meadowlard (FRN scales) is thin enough for back or front pocket carry - you won't notice it until you need it. Maybe also look into the Spyderco Jester for keychain or Spyderco Dragonfly.

Normark's advice is my suggestion as well.
I usually have a minimum of 3 knives with me on any day. Today I was in jeans (training course at work instead of clients) so I swapped the Buck Koji folder for a small Sebenza, and added a fixed blade. The fixed blade lives on my jean's belt.

The Northshore is a very nice knife for the money. Not talked about a lot, but it is small and light, and a good EDC.

Carrying a knife everyday may not be for you. There is nothing wrong with that, and nothing wrong with you. If you need a knife often enough to warrent carrying one every day, then you wouldn't need us to talk you into carrying one.

But try putting your knife where you put your keys and wallet, so you never forget it when you leave the house.
