2. FFBM black/black
3. FFBM sage
4. FFBM black/blue

any advice???

pics coming as soon as the camera battery is charged up...

I think I would opt for the Blk/Blk. I can see your dilemma though, so good luck on your choice!!! What ever you do, have fun.

these battle mistresses are all subltey different.....

the FBMLE is different from the FFBM's for obvious reasons....however there are slight differences in the FFBM's themselves.....

the sage, i've heard, is one of the rarer colors and it only comes with standard size handles.....my particular sage mistress doesn't even come with a penetrator tip...as a matter of fact, none of my FFBM's have a penetrator tip....and it comes with a flat top tip....no swedge to speak of.....

the black/black&blue is structurally identical to my sage, except for the fact that it has magnum sized handles.........

i like the black/black second best because it comes with the pointiest tip due to the swedge.....also, it has the deepest edge bevel......

pics will be coming in a little bit...

new, you need to get one with micarta mags. they're the most comfy in a user. if you can't wait and need to use one of those, well, it just depends on your hand size. if you have little girly hands like jaxx then use the sage. otherwise, flip a coin. if you do use eh LE you won't have to worry about scraping the coating off, though.

the LE does have micarta mags, and i do agree with you...they are the comfiest slabs.....they are a bit "grippier" than the G10s......and the magnum fills out the hand quite nicely......

Use them all, decide which one is your favorite, and sell the rest. Don't abuse a FBM by not giving it any action! That's cruel and unusual INFI treatment.

the tips, from left to right: black/black&blue, sage, black/black, LE

the black/black is beginning to be my favorite...the edge bevels are unbelievable.....even superior to the bevel on the LE.....

a little off topic, but for you old hogs, i have a question.....how do i get a hog name???

When I get multiples, I always pick the one that I like the least to be the user. Whether it is a scratch in the coating, slabs don't meet up perfectly, whatever, thats the one to use. That way the most visually pleasing model ends up the queen of the gun safe, until the next queen unseats her!

I'm leaning black/black, which is how I voted, but if they were MINE, I might use the blue. Tough call. The sage and LE are too nice to use!

(Keep in mind, I currently own 11 Busse knives and haven't used one, so take my vote with a grain of salt!)
