I have a lot of knives. I don't even know how many. But out of all of them, there are a few that seem to see more use than all the rest put together.

I carry my old Schrade yellow handled Trapper or my Schrade Walden stockman when I want to be traditional, and my Spyderco Calypso Jr. otherwise.

When it comes to fixed blades for hunting, the two that get all the action are my Swamp Rat Bandicoot and my Marbles Fieldcraft with 52100 steel.

I dress deer with the Bandicoot, because it cuts through brisket and pelvis like nothing with no edge damage, and I use the Fieldcraft for skinning and processing because it is a cutting machine with a good belly.

What are your faithful standbys?

My Buck Strider for tough work (when in a construction environment, etc.), and my Crawford/Kasper Professional model when I'm going out around town. :)

Coonerskinner - That 52100 Fieldcraft is a heck of knife. It has easily become my "go to" knife when I'm in the Adirondacks. If I don't exactly know how long I'll be out, or what I'll run into during my travels, the Fieldcraft is there. I trust it probably more than any knife in my collection. It always makes the cut and has never shown a sign of giving up.

The other knife that I've unduly punished to the point of complete confidence is the Spyderco Military. It's only a folder, but pretty near indestructible.

Buzz, if you get a chance to try the bandicoot, it is liable to grow on you too. That is one tough sucker.

Buck 110FG, Buck 301, Leatherman SuperTool with tool adapter. They all get used alot. Love the BG-42 on the 110.

For hunting, it's always a Schrade Sharpfinger.
For EDC, it's either a Victorinox Settler or one of my small Sebenzas.
For the times when a smaller knife is more appropriate I carry the Umfaan or v-nox Secretary.

The only ones I use these days are:

Benchmade 550
Benchmade 555
Kershaw/Ken Onion Rainbow Leek

Good luck,
Allen

My Al Mar SERE 2000 and Spyderco Native III are the ones that I have been packing lately.

no matter how often i carry my Endura or my M16-01K, or a few others for that matter, my Kershaw Leek seems to be calling me... so that one gets carried the most.

kershaw chive. ever since i bought this knife it has become my EDC. i love the size, blade stays pretty sharp, speed safe is cool:). has a nice look to it, and the fit/finish are very good. my only compaint is the gets these rust spots on it they are very small but noticiable none the less. doesnt bother me much though b/c its a user.

Spyderco Military. Even after getting a Sebenza I still carry my Military to work. It just seems to be the better 'utility' knife...meaning I can use it in anything short of a craphole, wipe it off, and its good as new. Well, almost.

Large, plain Sebenza still gets the call over all the others. My new Terzuola TT-F 3A may start to rival it soon, though.

The short list rotates from
Spyderco S30V PE Military
Benchmade Emerson CQC-7
V-Tech 13100
with whatever SAK's in the BOB.

Coonskinner, I don't know why you carry one of those junky yellow handled Schrade Trappers!

My main knives that I have been carrying/using are:

Spyderco Police PE G-10 for EDC
Spyderco Tim Wegner PE G-10 for hunting season
Emerson CQC7 is in my EDC rotation
Marbles Trailcraft has been perfect for skinning
shhhhh.....Schrade Yellow Trapper is always with me during duck season
Becker BK7 for camping, and carry in the truck/four wheeler

These are about the only ones that have been getting used lately.
