I have a lot of knives, but the ones I seem to reach for most are...

while my second EDC gets a rotation depending on what I feel like when I go out, a SP Native PS never leaves my pocket, whether I'm home or not, I always have it clipped to my pants.

I like the GIN-1 so much that I ordered a S30V one a couple of weeks ago :)

For me, it's the Benchmade 710HS. If for some reason I decide not to carry that it's my M2 AFCK, or a PE Military.

There are many others I like to carry as well, but these are the ones I rely on; at least these days:p

Jeff/1911.

I always flirt around with the "knife of the week" but when it comes down to it I always rely on my SAK Tinker and my Axis AFCK for folders and my BK&T #5 for a fixed blade.

I circulate through all sortsa knives, but those are the ones that I've come to rely on. (I'd like to find a smaller fixed blade to throw in the "tried and true" pile, but I've yet to find the right one yet)

My list of knives run the gammet from SAKs to the Sebenza on the high end. I find that the Delica and large Griptilians that I have find themselves in my pockets quite a bit. I, for some reason, just really like the feel of the Griptilian and I liked the 440C one so well I bought a HS from Cabela's to go along for the ride as well. I also have three different color small Grips but they haven't found much time out of their boxes.

I have to admit, that if I am going somewhere where I think I may use a folder hard, the Sebenza takes FR pocket preference every time. It usually will have a companion in the LF pocket to keep it company along with the ever present Victorinox Classic I have on each keyring.

During work hours I carry my Mnandi w/ African Blackwood. During personal hours I carry my regular small Sebbie and one of my "minimalist" V'nox such as my silver Alox Bantam or Pocket Pal. I always have my LM Micra on my key ring no matter the time of day.

Folder:

Crawford KFF
MOD CQD

An old Utica equal end, Mnandi, Darrel and Rob's 2BK, an Apogee, MT ut6, a Tony Hoffman whittler and an old Case peanut that Jack Woods fancied up seem to find themselves rotating in my pockets for a while now along with SAK's and/or multitools in the car, office and computer bag.

Same here! I own a lot of knives! But nothing beat my Swamp Rats! (bandicoot and Tan Battle Rat)...Ok...my Chris Reeve MkVI is great too...but damn this swamp rats are great!

Busse Assault Shaker in Leatherman horisontal sheath for EDC, Swamp Rat Bandicoot or Fällkniven F 1 for general outdoors stuff.
Second what Olivier said.....those rats are great!!!:D

I used my Fieldcraft yesterday to cut up a buck deer, and even with all the contact with the bone and what not, the thing is still sharp. It doesn't shave cleanly anymore, but it is still cutting great.

For hunting, it and the bandicoot are the stuff. i use the 'Coot for the rough chores, and the Marbles for skinning and processing.

Spyderco Military PE, Spyderco Endura PE, Spyderco Calypso Jr. SE, Benchmde AFCK Jr. PE, MicroTech SOCOM PE, Cold Steel Master Hunter, Cold Steel SRK .... just wish my Calypso Jr. was a plain edge, can't wait til the new ones come out so I can grab one up ;)

My Carson M4 gets rotated with my Washburn as my stag show knife. My PJ Tomes model 109X two blade folder is always in my left front pocket in it's slipcase. My utillty kinfe in my right front pocket does get rotated, it's usually a Spyderco; Walker lt/wt, Jess Horn in white Micarta or my Howard Viele, then there's the CUDA EDC that is always begging to be carried. I fly kites down the beach on the weekends for that the perfect carry knife it the CUDA Mini-Talon, a great neck knife with no chance of getting messed up with the sea air or the sand.

BM 720 and Sebertech M4
or
Camillus Five Blade Deluxe Camp Knife (Official BSA)

Just can't bring myself to not have some sort of tools with me; I'd purely hate to have to use a good blade as a screwdriver.

Like most of you, I have a pretty decent collection, but the two that get the most use are:

Camillus Maxx Bowie: There are probably things the Maxx can't do, but I don't seem to have found them yet. It's always in my pocket, never in my way, and it handles large jobs and small with equal grace. Great design. Great materials. Great manufacture. Great knife!

Rob Simonich Bitteroot: This tiny knife is almost always around my neck, even when I'm not fully dressed. Rob did a brilliant job of providing a secure grip despite the size. It has proven surprisingly versatile.

I haven't had it long enough to really establish a track record, but it looks like my HideAway Knife may be taking over first place. It is so quick and convenient that it's usually the first knife I reach for. And my "Curvy" model seems to do everything well. With its exceptional grip it cuts like a much larger knife.

The ones I seem to reach for most are...

My Greco Companion - my "go to" knife... sometimes I treat it like my "go to hell" knife! I have cut stuff with that thing that has NO business being cut with a knife and it is still going strong! I have only sharpened it a few times and aside from the chips caused from absolute abuse, the A2 edge is razor sharp. Cost me a total of 50 bucks - I really can't complain!

My Rinaldi L.E.O. - my hunting companion, tree trimming knife, showoff custom blade, etc... It is simply a functional work of art! It locks into my hand like a natural attachment, cuts like there's no tomorrow, and is a damned nice looking knife to boot! It is my favorite fixed blade BAR NONE.

Busse Basic 9 - My BIG "go to" knife. It does all the big, brutal, nasty jobs that my Companion is too short to pull off. It has chopped wood, hacked brambles, demolished furniture and appliances (long story with lots of "me and my brother were sitting around drinking and..." content), opened cans at cookouts, whittled tent stakes, pried fenceposts loose, chopped concrete (how else was I supposed to get the fenceposts out?!), hammered MANY a nail in a pinch without a hammer in sight, and generally come to be the knife I would trust with ANY big job. It's a big, sharp whomper that I can utterly depend on.

As for folders - I used to depend totally on my Sere 2K. That has ended. The thumbstud broke off (under normal use) and I requested a new one. They told me "no problem, just send us your address and we'll send you a new thumbstud". Well, it has been more than a month and MANY, MANY replies later (including my mailing address in every single one) and since that email (stating they would send me a new thumbstud) I have had no response, and NO FREAKING THUMBSTUD from them. Soooo, I guess my advice is to buy and Al Mar knife, and it will work well, but if it breaks, you don't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting a replacement part. Even something as cheap and corny as a thumbstud that probably doesn't even cost a quarter to make. I guess you could say I'm in the market for a new folder. Anybody have any suggestions that would replace the Sere 2K?

Current folder mainstays are left-handed Johnny Stout Gemini and right-handed Strider SnG. For fixed, it alternates between the Hartsfield Kozuka and the Simonich Bitteroot. Belt carry fixed would be Dozier's small utility.
