those 110's sure as hell were nice though. i think i might have found it. anyone know how long the wait is?
Yep, they are nice! :)

The wait is about six weeks for the Custom Shoppe 110's.
The Alaskan Guide from Cabela's ships very fast...about four days IIRC.

hm i might consider that 110. my only quabble is that some 110's that i have handled have had alot of blade play. for me with my alias and grip there is none at all. and i cant do six weeks cause i dont know if ill be here in six weeks so maybe a cabellas will do.:o

Tadgear has a couple "special" Zero Tolerance 0300 on sale. I didnt see if 150 was firm they're closer to 250. I have a seb, a strider, an emerson framelock, and im thinking about getting one! They're definitely a lot of knife for the money.

IMO Kershaw has the largest variety of high quality knives at an affordable price.Plus most of them are made in the USA.I'd also add Spyderco, but you already stated you don't like them.I would never be able to understand why.

But then again I don't like Striders.Too big, bulky, overpriced & just plain ugly.I'm sure a lot would disagree with me on that.Everyone has their own preferences.

my thing with spyercos is that they dont fit my hand. and me being a huge 6'3 220 guy, small knives dont fit well with me, thus the no to the 707 and the sage/delica/etc, though it is nice. adn i dont like linear. ya i know, im picky. those 110's sure as hell were nice though. i think i might have found it. anyone know how long the wait is?

I think you would be pleased with the Chinook3's handle. It fits med & lg hands well.S30V Blade with G10 handle under $150.Also Zero Tolerance 0200 will fit the largest hands.Good Luck:)

ok dont kill me when i say this but...i think spydercos are ugly. hey are on the bottom of my list to get. ill get them but...i jsut cant see myself loving them as much as i do my grip adn alias. i know i know. blasphamy. but just dont. and VCM3, how does the knife open? that is what i am talking about. very nice and sexy. but is it an auto? i dont do autos...maybe assisted opening like from kershaw...

If you can still get your hands on a Spyderco Manix it is a great knife for a large handed person. Also I could recommend a Spyderco Endura in G-10 with the nice flat ground blade. I havn't read much on it but I sure like the looks of the Blade-Tech RIJBAK.

That is a liner lock,no thumbstud, instead,a "flipper " like nub in the front of the blade to open it with one hand
Burger knives are made very well, great grinds good steel, that little G-10 model one is light strong & sharp

I'm in the same boat as you, crbauhs. A bit of extra money, especially with the tax refunds and "rebate" checks incoming, but no knives are really catching my eye.

My advice, sit on the money and wait. A closeout sale or that must-have custom is just around the corner, maybe tomorrow or the day after.

And with the potential for a financial squeeze coming up, you might need the money for something more important, rather than spend it on a knife just for the sake of buying something.
