Okay, I have to ask this.

I've been wondering for a while now, and 'I gots ta know' who here does not have a peanut?

Come on, fess up and don't make me break out the rubber chicken!
:D

Oh, and if you do have one, feel free to post some peanut porn.

Carl.

I have four up in my current G-A,but all my other small patterns are pens of some type
I like small knives,by my hands are pretty big & lately I have been enjoying the around 4" size, give or take
Nothing bad about a peanut,though.

PS I do have that 3" Reese Bose trapper & for all purposes it could be considered a peanut

Well, I don't have a Case peanut, but I do have an nice Dwight Divine era Ulster peanut and once had an EC Simmons Keen Kutter peanut with an insanely complex grind on the main blade. I do have several old 3" doglegs though that I really like -- people often call them peanuts, but they're really a different pattern.

I'd love to see all those

I have a bunch of them. I still want to see Carl bust out the rubber chicken.

I once read a post here on BF which went pretty much like this:
"The more experienced the hunter, the smaller is the knife he's carrying"
I reckon this applies to slipjoints.
I'm 30 and a newbie to this world.
Ergo, I don't have a peanut. :)

I just bought my first traditional slipjoint, a Case Mini Trapper in Chestnut bone CV, so no peanuts yet. I've been looking at a few more slippies on ksf but none of them are peanuts though.

No peanut here. I'd like to pick one up someday, as I hear they are hard to beat for their size, but always seem seem to go with something else when knife shopping. I'll eventually get to it I suppose. I'm not sure a peanut would be much of an improvement over my mini copperhead(wharncliffe) though.

I received a Case brown jigged bone model, from the early to mid 90's I beleve, in a trade. Way too small for my hands, I gave it away.

My name is Wayne, and I do not own a peanut. I do not have particularly large hands, but I do have fat fingers. That does not bode well for a small, thin peanut. I think the smallest knife I carry (aside from a SAK Classic, which I carry for the scissors) is a canoe.

I don't own any peanuts, they just don't appeal to me. Too small. My smallest knife is a William Henry Spire and it's a quarter inch longer than the peanut. I like the Spire, it's a very well made knife, but it's just too small for my tastes and gets left at home. There is no way I'm going to be satisfied with the peanut.

I understand that some people like the peanut because it is eminently pocketable. But I've never had any problems carrying my KHnutbuster, swayback, or my Harness Jack so that point is moot. I'd rather carry a bigger knife that is more comfortable to use.

I have to admit, I don't have a Peanut. To be honest, I have no idea why. I find the pattern appealing. I don't have an aversion to tiny knives - I own and really like a Schrade 12OT. Maybe I just haven't found the right one?
