Because I am the PROUD owner of an almost brand new Kobalt 1 1/4 pound hatchet I bought at Lowes a few days ago! Yay!

Thanks Eric! I will be as safe as possible, for I am too excited to let something as serious and game changing as an injury take me out of woodworking. I am hewing the branch I cut to proper length, or at least, I was, until I retired for dearest Irene and her path of devestation. Now it is too humid and wet to risk taking out my hatchet unless I find some steel wool and scour it good and proper afterwards, which could be a possibility....
