I don't know if there is anyone still here who remembers me, but I am a collector back from living abroad and paying a debt. I gave one of my sons that Microtech D/A OTF in red---forgot the name but it had two little "glass breakers" at the tail end, had a rough surface and purported to be some sort of fireman's knife---not that any self respecting fireman spends that much money on a knife... anyway he loves it and the other son wants one--- but is willing to take any MT OTF D/A---

The place I bought mine from is no longer. Can you please recommend a great (ideally forum friendly and decent prices) place to buy? Thanks

The knife you're describing is a MT Makora. Some folks referred to the Red versions as the "Fireant"...
