I have been looking at a Jack to supplement my Peanut.

I just ordered a new Case Amber Texas Jack (CV blades, of course). I'll alternate between carrying my Queen Stockman in D2 and The Case Amber Texas Jack when a larger slip joint knife is needed/desired.

Thanks, everyone. I appreciate the input from the Forum.

I'm certain you will be pleased. I have both the cv and stainless versions in different bone and they offer a lot of satisfaction in a compact but reasonable carry.

As far as I can remember, I have never owned a Jack-patterned knife. While the Victorinox Rambler and Peanut are excellent for "city" carry, the Jack should "split the difference" between my Queen Zebrawood Stockman and my Peanut. Granted it has a 3.6" handle and is nearly as large as my Stockman, the Chrome Vanadium Clip and Pen blades on the Texas Jack will give it a "old home" feel just like the Peanut.

Such a great CASE knife Captain, looking forward to pictures when it comes in.

I'm working from a folding computer and haven't the mouse to post pictures. It can be seen on the BP site. (No, I'm not buying it from them, but the pictures are good).

I ordered it this afternoon. I should have it soon.

The Amber Texas Jack looks great! This will make a great "casual carry" knife. (This is a bit large for "business attire"). The knife is a good one. CV steel is my favorite of the "Case Clan" of steels. The scales are impressive. The fit and finish is perfect as I can find no flaws.

I can recommend these knives without reservation.
