I'm sorry Amy, that really hurts. There is nothing more sad or pathetic than a man hurting a woman. I don't know what else to say.

No he shouldn't. I am against the death penelty for cases like this where lethal injection is far to fast and painless.

Unfortunately, my suggestion was "EDITED FOR INAPPROPRIATE FORUM CONTENT"

I have to agree Mike, it was pretty disgusting. :eek: Sorry about that.

There should be two types of executions: a death penelty where death happens peacefully in under a minute and the "fate worse than death" that takes longer, much longer. :thumbup:
 
Sorry to hear about your friend Amy, Long story made short i new a police officer that was called to a wreck there were 2 officers there the kid said he tried to miss a dog when he pointed they turned there heads he shot and killed one officer well he was tried as a adult the last i heard which was 6 or 7 years ago he had 5 or 6 reconstrutive surgerys and thats what the sob deserved

i think what mhawg means is that the police won't be sitting around to protect you or watch this guy. if a person doesn't believe in the law or follow it, they will wait till they have the upper hand and do as they please.

mhawg simply means that you should be prepared to defend yourself till and if the police get there, or keep yourself out of harms way.

it might not have been Amy's friends personality but if possible she should have expected that and maybe laid low or carried personal protection to defend herself till support came.

my wife does know how to shoot and carries, i don't know if she has the courage to actually shoot should the time come.

i personally would rather have the tables turned and Amy's friend be living and her attacker have met mr. hollowpoint at the door....

What Mhawg means and is correct in saying is that the police are not psychic, they cannot guess where the next crime is going to happen. Sure if the police are forwarned about someones plan to kill someone else, then they will respond and stop it, but most murders are not telegraphed to everyone. You need to protect yourself somehow. In most cases that's impossible as murders or beatings are by surprise and people are cought off guard.

Amy, I feel for your loss and the terrible way in which it happened. Anyone who is capable of hurting another human being, not in self defense, is a POC in my book. You don't have to have killed someone to qualify. Look at al the abused and battered women and children. This is done by men of no fortitude...cowards..basically. There is no excuse for hurting another human being other than self defense.

RF said it best. laws don't stop criminals. unfortunately, a lot of good people are hurt or killed because of a few bad people.

you need a day at the range. always helps to find your center. it's like that thing the hippies do... what is it? meditation?

Unfortunely that seems how the"justice system" works. Keep letting the perps. out and the child molesters out over and over again.

I am sorry for your loss of a friend. None of us can give you the words that will cure your loss. We can but hope that now that it's too late he will get his just punishment.

Sorry if I ramble but you just touched on one of my biggest problems with our so called "justice system"....it's NOT! and it will never be worth becoming a victum. Too bad you friend did not have a hand full of blade to end her problem.
