And i have some knife money and i was wondering if it carbon steel and would it be good knife for hiking/camping. Also i just want a pocket razor for fuzz sticks so would this knife fit the bill.

Blade stamped CV is the only way to tell I think. And in Carbon, yeah, it's a great hiking and fuzz stick knife.

Whats a pocket razon? like a raison? I like pocket raisons....

JK man, Ive seen em too, They are great, and will serve well. I believe they are 1095 carbon steel.

case sodbuster in cv Cases version of carbon stands fo chromio vanduim I think..Excellent steel take a wicked edge that being said I've had a feww of there soddies and have found them to have alot of lateral blade play...a pet peeve of mine.

if the tang is marked tru-sharp its stainless, if its marked CV its carbon.

Case's CV is basically 1095 with some chrome and some vanadium mixed in...i like it alot personally, takes a patina really easily.

the sodbuster is a good basic pattern that will do alot for you. never used one, but have used similar knives and they are all based on the same ages-old pattern of the basic working folding knife.

The ones at Lowes are stainless. I wouldn't let the fact that it is stainless keep you from buying it. It is a well made knife and an excellent cutter.

I bought both of mine from this store.

Sod Buster and a Sod Buster Jr, Both were Black and in Stainless Steel.

Great Workhorses.

Case Sodies from Lowe's are stainless. Great knife. Good fit and finish, alinement, etc. I was able to put a "razor" edge on mine. Got it for about $17. That was my first Sodie. Soon after , I ordered a Case Sodebuster Jr. Yellow in CV. Anyway, alot of bang for the buck! Get it. M

My Sodbuster Jr. came frome Lowes, cost about $17 and change. Stainless steel. Bit me right away while I sliced some bread, trimmed my thumb nicely. I scratched my initials in it, since it blooded me.

Now It's in my pocket every day.

Yep. I've got two of 'em. IIRC, the CV Sodbuster Jr. only comes in yellow now.

They are a high carbon stainless and will show some small rust spots if you leave it wet. They take a great edge and are built stout. Stiff springs and no blade play when open.

Buy one.
