The Camillus knife company has introduced a variation on the old U.S Military demo knife.

Its called the Camillus Trench Pocket Tool and it has the Camillus company logo stamped on the handle and the word Camillus either engraved or stamped onto the blade.

The model number for it is 19184

I hope that my fellow forum members will check out this knife I plan to by several as soon as I can.

I have a handful of the original Camillus demo knives, from my year of birth. I can say, without a doubt, that they are built extremely tough and are as bombproof as it gets. The reputation they have is well-earned. Everyone should have at least one. That Action Site has them for pennies on the dollar.

I went thru three "Demo" knives in Vietnam made by Camillus, on all three the back spring for the blade broke, twice just opening the blade. I switched to a SAK in 1971, and since then have never had a SAK break. John

I've seen many warnings not to open both tools that share a backspring (stresses the spring, causing failure).

Neat and Cool. I am sure that the outline of a fixed blade knife where US used to be will turn this into a "survival knife" :D:D
It looks good for about $18 but I recently bought several Marbles knives of the same pattern for only $7 each. ;)

Just opened the main blade, bad heat treat on the springs confirmed by a Camillus employee many years later, and not like you could run down to the corner big box store and buy another one. John

ALL new Camillus brand knives are made in China. The remains of Camillus were bought by a Chinese company - ACME. Every time I see a new Camillus, I remember that the source of Wile. E. Coyote's equipment was the ACME Corporation. :D

Now, that's funny.
