I have this old tomahawk that I bought, and have not been able to determine whether it is authentic or a reproduction. I tried to contact members of the Trade Ax and Tomahawk Collectors Association, but their website is either down or disbanded. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

That is what I think. That kind of surface cannot not be artificially made, at least not in a short amount of time.
 
Looks to be forge welded, and has a mid-1800's style about it. Do some searches on early trade axe's and include searches on Hudsons Bay Company axe's.
