Zero Tolerance 0804CF that is. :D

As I was going to be on the island for about 3 hours, I desperately needed to find food ("Rule of Threes," right?).

Here are my supplies:
-1 knife
-One roll of jute twine
-One length of picture-hanging wire
-One freshly harvested Maple stick

So, I start crafting my mighty trap.

Hey, there's some guy paddling by on the very scenic water:

Well, the notch looks good:

Hmmm, that's better. :) Added another notch around the stick for the wire to attach more securing (don't want the prey getting away).

Using my brass kubotan to pound the anchor stick into place:

The trap is set!!! The wire snare is set to snag my meal, and the line goes up to a bent-over sapling to act as a spring, pulling it up into the air.

It appears the prey animal is some form of Tim Hortons species, with paper bag skin.

Skinning it and taking a bite shows it to be a wild island raisin bran muffin:

Here the ZT 0804CF poses--after its blade is clean--along with the other ZT of the day. I used it to fill out this waiver form in case you die or whatever:

All fuelled up, I went exploring this deadly environment, so dangerous that a waiver must be signed before going there.

I found a very old, very large tree...

...which had a geocache on the rear side of it (found with no GPS, just blind luck; suck it, technology! :D ).

I put a TOPS Knives signaling whistle in there. Perhaps it will help someone else survive this deadly, deadly land of terror and hardship. ;)

Cts-204p is no slouch in the backwoods; neither is 20cv. The knife would have lasted longer than 3 hours, though I’m not sure about the muffin. I’ve used mine to dig up and split earthworms on a pan over the fire, and if there’s a better bacon substitute I haven’t found it. I know I’ll be buried with my 0562 and my 0804 because I always carry them; whether I die by mudslide, avalanche or volcano those two might someday make the cover of National Geographic (or similar) inquisitive future people.

I often hope that some of our knives will amaze archaeologists of the far distant future, whatever species they may turn out to be. ;)

They will either be confused or suggest some odd reason for the cf/ti handles and the backwardness of using powder process steel (over lasers, etc.)

If they are descendants of us , I wonder what they will call us —intel man, iPhone man, early technology users, but clearly inferior in our use of tools, no doubt.

I have an infestation of Blueberry Explosion muffins in my yard that have cropped up recently. What bait did you use for your raisin bran muffin and will it work for my Bluberry Explosion species?

Sadly the Strawberry Shortcake genus seems to have gone extinct....those were most tasty.

Cool pics man that’s what these knives were made for....That stick didn’t stand a chance lol

It's not so much a matter of bait; rather, it involves recognizing the telltale signs that show a muffin trail through the vegetation. Once a trail has been identified, you should have good results with trapping them.

True enough.
It's almost like knives were made for cutting things. :D
