I Have Zero Tolerance for Island Bushcrafting...

Sir, as usual great pics, great knife used and very entertaining. so thanks for entertaining me. :)

Outstanding as always stabman! Of course it would have made your day to snare an actual animal in that thing. My wife and I like to document our time in the woods through pictures too. We enjoy your posts and thank you for your excellent contributions to this forum!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

It's not so much a matter of bait; rather, it involves recognizing the telltale signs that show a muffin trail through the vegetation. Once a trail has been identified, you should have good results with trapping them.

True enough.
It's almost like knives were made for cutting things. :D

You should be banned for spreading such falsehoods as knives are for cutting things. We all know knives are properly used as screwdriver prybars. I am reporting this thread.....to CSIS!

Very cool and nice pictures. Next time bring one of these so you don’t have to subside on bran and granola:

Hold on.. an island... a three hour tour... all of this sounds very familiar from somewhere...

It does have a familiar ring... ;)

You were lucky it was only a lone muffin. Wild muffins can be aggressive and quite dangerous in packs.

I have had packs of 12 muffins. Any more and I would be defenseless.

12 wild muffins is probably the upper limit for survivability.

Glad to be of service. :)

It would have had to be a very stupid animal to wander into the trap while I was standing so close to it. :D

I was just glad he didn’t catch “the most dangerous game” which he alluded to erlier in the form of a kayaker.

That tends to be frowned upon.

I'll just send them a copy of my second book to stand in place of a file on me.

For a longer trek, one of those could come in handy.

I have to say that with all the bickering that goes on around here this place can get very tedious.

Reading your post I laughed out loud so hard I had to set my phone down. When I got through, I read it again. What a great post! Loved it!

Kind of helps keep things in perspective about some of the other posts we see, too.

Thanks. :)
Since we're all knife enthusiasts, knives should be about fun.
