I see everyone making these landmark post counts in the thousands, but I guess it starts with the hundreds and I reached my first 100.

I have a set of plans that I bought from Tracey for the NWG. I ended up getting a variable speed KMG from Rob so I am going to give the plans to a needy knife maker who wants to build thier own grinder.

If you want to play for the plans reply with "I'm In" and your post number will be your number. I'll pick the winner when I have at least 100 replys.

The plans are in plastic sheets in a nice binder and I will pay shipping to the lower 48 US States. If you are somewhere else and you win shipping is on you.

Thanks

Hey! Interesting idea!

Very generous of you - I don't have any knife grinder, but dreaming about getting/building one. Congrats on 100! I'm in! :D

Hey Chris,

Congrats on having 100 things to say around here. Keep it up! That's a great idea to pass on your NWG plans in this way. You might want to consider adding a cut off date to your contest as well. Something like, 'the winner will be drawn by such and such a date or when we hit a hundred posts, whichever comes first.' Just a thought. (I have a set of the plans, and they're GREAT, so don't count me in.)

All the best, Phil

As I'm an engraver, I couldn't use the plans. HOWEVER, I know of a young lad (20 yr's.) who really wants to make knives. He has cleaned out an open front garage & trying to enclose it from the weather. He has also built a work bench from used materials so that when ever he can get/afford some equipment, he'll have a place for it. This young man goes to community college, makes good grades & works two part time jobs which should give you an idea of his character. He has an inordinant drive to excell in everything he does & I'm sure will show in his knife making talent. Please consider Jeffery Bain for these plans as they will be his only option for a long time. His father will help him assemble this grinder. Thank you, ken
