Make the tip a flat-head screwdriver! People are always asking about the "Tool" in Becker Knife and Tool, give them a screwdriver knife.
 
or make the dip a sharpened screw driver, more suitable for prying. think tac-tool like.

life lessons are handy to give you custom tools :D
 
when factory stuff breaks, it's time to mod. This applies to bikes, cars and a lot of other stuff too.. I'd say flatten the swedge to a lower tip...might even try to curve the clip.
 
I would just file on the top until it joins the "new" lower tip and I bet you come up with a very impressive spear point.
 
That really bites man. I wonder which direction you will go with her. modify the tip into a chisel / flat head. A good drop point would look nice. Maybe even a clip point. Here is a possibility, wharncliffe her. What ever you do to fix it, I hope you like it.
 
Ok, so far, I'm really leaning towards a tip like a Bk12. But if I'm going to go that route, I'll have to knock down that thumb ramp... The gears are turning, just need to find someone a lot more experienced than me to do it. I REALLY don't want to screw it up, lol.

You won't HAFTA knock down the thumb ramp; the 12 has one. ...it'd be like a mini-12....
