Finally broke the $20 flashlight barrier, am I gonna regret this?

I've been playin' with LEDs, I've always had Mag Lights, Mini Mag Lights, Solitaires, various Streamlights but this is by far the most expensive torch I own.

Yes, yes you have, and no, no you won't. :) Next up: a Surefire G2Z perhaps? Maybe an L4? So many possibilities!

BIG mistake.

Well, here's a suggestion for getting a bit more out of those expensive batteries. I have a Surefire E2, and when the batteries are depleted, I switch them into my Inova X5T, where what power is left is enough to light up the LEDs nicely.

Surefire L4, then you don't have to buy another flashlight after that. :D

It started with a Z2 for carry, then a Z3 for the nightstand, then another Z2 to leave in the fanny pack, then one for the car, then a G2 for the girlfriend, then one for my kid, then an led head for another G2, then.................

Regret what????????????? :D

Nah, not a problem. This coming from a guy who while at work tonight and a G2Z, 6P and and 8X within arms reach. Get down with the sickenss.

Yeah, you're toast now. I got the bug a couple years ago. Now I have several Surefires as well as all those old lame ass Mag lights I once thought were awesome. My first Surefire was an E2 and it put out as much light as my 6 D Mag. It seems to happen to everyone who trys one. I gave my wife a G2Z in Yellow and now She wants a E2D for Xmas. My Boss bought a G2Z after playing with my E2e a year ago (E2 suceeded by the E2e). Then just a month ago he popped up with a 6P. Lately he's been drooling over my EDC L4. He's Hooked.

So far the L4 has been the ultimate EDC light for me although I still have an E2e-SG, an M3 with a KL2 head and hav ethe hots for an A2 or some other model with multiple light levels. The U2 appeals to me from a technology standpoint, but I'm in love with the size of the E2/L4 lights.

We've all got Inova X5s as well to completely use up the batteries that won't light up a Surefire anymore.

Just go with it.

You'll really start to regret it when you break the $200 barrier. LOL! That's around what the latest, greatest LED lights are costing.

your next stop will be poor mans watch fourm. start out with a nice used seiko diver for around $100; then in a few months you'll be drooling over those Sinn's, O&W's ect. trust me. save some money and enjoy the ride.

Already have a Seiko Chronograph, and a Solar Tough G Shock along with a few older watches, Gruen and such, I'm into cameras, motorcycles and toys, haven't gotten into RC's yet.

Ahh, flashlights really are a slippery slope. Take that first step and .... WAAAHHHHHHH, there goes your credit card.

Personally, I'm still trying to adjust to the fact that ARC went out of business. Man, whatta bummer. I'm just going to have to make do with the three LSs, two AAAs and one AA that I already have. It just ain't fair. :grumpy:

I will agree with Dave about the Sure Fire L4. That thing kicks serious butt. That was the last Sure Fire I bought, and I don't know when I will buy another. The L4 is that good.

Apart from my SF being a 6P, that's what I do too! Works great! :D

P.S: T.E......yes, you are doomed!
