THREAD HIJACK IN PROGRESS!!!

So, I ended up at VMI for two summers when I was still in highschool as part of an initiative to matriculate more minority students. For a month during the summer we would wake up early and do PT, take classes during the day, work out more later, play, etc... On weekends we would canoe the James River, rappel, climb a mountain, or do the Marine Corps obstacle course.

So the first summer I'm up there (musta been Summer '94) we had already gone through a week of the experience when we found out we were doing 22 miles up the James River during that weekend. As a treat for finishing our first week strongly, the facilitators (almost all of them were black men, minus the dietician) decided to get us pizzas and show some films.

We ate our pizzas and watched "the Program". A buncha minority kids (well, 29 blacks and 1 Puerto Rican) watching football? Can't miss right? We finish our pizzas and sodas, and the "Program" ends. So what's next.....?

You guessed it. These masochists showed 30 minority kids from cities up and down the east coast "Deliverance" the night before we were heading out to canoe the James river and camp for two days...

Wow...just wow...

I know there were nightmares that entire weekend.

:D

Now thats just cruel:mad:....but kinda funny:p

Hey that sounds like my dad.

Took me and 5 of my 6 grade friends to see THe American Werewolf in London( yeah he made us leave right when the nurse got naked.

anyway to make up for taking us from our first big horror and skin flick.

He talked us into going Snipe Hunting!

That was cruel!

but I still laugh today!

Those 2008 SE's are beautiful knives.....thanks for the action shots :)

It WAS cruel, but I was even more cruel because I kept mimicking "Dueling Banjos" whenever it was quiet. :D

So Kenny...whattup with those green linen wardens in your avy? You know there are people around who would kill for those....namely Guyon plus a few others. You're playing a risky game, brother. ; ) maybe even as risky as the lone Puerto Rican in a group of black city boys humming "Dueling Banjos" while floating down the James River. : D

KH,

Thanks for the action pics!!! That is one sweettt knife. I think the HOGFSH, and HHFSH are the best made/used whatever...
