....well not for two weeks at least!
WARNING GORE!!
After seeing Skylar's cool new necker sheaths I felt I NEEDED to stop dallying and get myself a 14.
Sadly, before it had even arrived I managed to do myslef a mischeif in the photocopying room.
I had been EDC'ing my Ka-Bar Mini Dozier for months, whilst at work (and too and from), however I was going for Korean food with the woman last night and thought I'd carry my Kershaw DWO instead, what with it being a darn site more dinky and potentially sheeple friendly (remember I'm from the UK so its still seen as a fixed blade in the eyes of the law, and I can only carry it with a 'reasonable excuse').
Anyways, I needed to get into a box of A4. No problem. Whipped out the DWO, cut the carton banding, cut my way into a ream, and then, when raising my hand, caught the tip of the knife on the underside of the counter and my right index finger decided to commit hari-kari on the blade!! It really did glide its way through, and got damn close to the bone too!!
Two and a half hours later, and a trip to A&E for a patch up, I return to work and the postie has just turned up with my Esky!!! Dammit!!!
This was the best shot I could get of the 'clean' wound, it was gushing too much blood
Two stiches down and still the claret flows
*Notice the blood on the tweezers....the cut is about 1/4" deep.
The surgeon had a GOOOOOOOOOD prod around in there. Thanks god for Lidocaine!!
Third stitch down was done buy a Student Doctor. Pretty neat job.....especially given his hands were shaking like a shiteing dog!!
[
And now I have a tampon for a finger!
Right....enough of that....here's what I imagine will be a very comfy necker to use
And why I can't tell quite how it feels
Lastly, a group shot of the culprit, the Kershaw DWO, my loyal Ka-Bar (I do REALLY rate this knife) and the BK14
Thanks for your time folks!
