i just can't understand . . .

i like both mags and standard scales. different knives with one, the other, or even both combo's. i must say, busse knives are a pleasure to own and use.

Mags are definitely more comfortable for me but I think it depends on the flatness of your palm. If you have a flat palm you would probably prefer standard scales but if you palm is more concave then bring on the mags. Give me mags every time.

I think that what Uncle_Jarvis means is he just plain doesn't like the TAC handles regardless of standard or magnum sized grips. I guess they don't work for him well.

I like the TAC handle, but this handle style I prefer in standard grips. On Fusion handles, I go with the mags. I love the mag grips & handle style of the SARsquatch too, and find it very comfortable.
 
Yes, I dislike TAC handles.. Jaxx ya summed it up nicely..

Actually when I think about more I have mag hand shaped handles on a HOGFSH and those are extremely comfy.. :thumbup:

QFT, I love mags on SOME Busse's and hate them on others. The ash LE which is possibley my favorite handling knife ever has mags. I have them on my CGFBM and needed to trim them down a bit as they seemed a bit thicker. I mostly like mags now for the larger knives, but couldnt see them on smaller ones.

I am with you on the TAC handles uncle J, I got rid of my badger and my SJTAC's because of em. I just cant get the feel down.
 
I dislike palm-swell grips on guns. LOATHE them actually. So standard mags on a Fusion handle don't do it for me at all.

I've sanded sets of Fusions - WOW what a difference. It really smooths out the high-low and reduces the palm-swell.

I haven't futzed with the Squatch yet, but I do think the center swell is a bit high.

Should Busse change the palmswell? NO! Leave it. I can sand it down/off if need be and the guys who like it are all set.

TAC handles are funky for me. The BATAC fit better htan the SJTAC, but I just don't like the rest of the design. THe blade seems TOO far away from my hands. ??? Matter of taste.
 
The nice thing about the Busse line is if you dont like the mags, theres almost always a standard handle option. :D

And if theres no option... theres always Ban. :)
 
Count me in as another fan of the mag scales. I actually traded away my FBM primarily because of the standard scales (and it was too big for what I really needed) and went with a Skinny ASH with the mag scales. Much better fit for my hands, but obviously YMMV.

This is why Busse makes more than one thickness on most knives :) At first I thought the mags were a little chunky on my CGFBM, but after getting used to them I found I wouldn't mind a bit more meat to em.
 
The mags on my CGFBM fit me perfect (though it wasn't love at first grip) and my hands are a bit smallish. All two of my Busses and all two of my CGFBM's have mag grips and I've never been happier.
