I know how you feel. Just tonight, I was about to throw out some old Field&Stream issues, when my wife stopped me, because she wanted to clip out some of the articles so she can learn more about lures and what to use and when. I love my wife!!!

Deadeye, that is where the U.S. .gov decided that they had taken too much of our money, so they decided that for the good of the stuttering economy, they would give some more of it back after tax accounting day (April 15) so that we could go buy stuff and give a good jolt to the old gal.

Some folks ( :D ) are getting 2 grand in a tax return, and in a stimulus check. I don't think we're buying anything really, just gonna sit on most of it for the moment. Maybe get the old piano repaired, or pay off a credit card, and keep enough to buy tires later this year.

But I know exactly what ya mean, Me and the wife spent last weekend camping in the mountains and God bless her, she is getting more and more into steel everyday.
While goofing around camp she let me snap some play pic's I posted over in the RAT forums to share with those guys. My wife + alot of Steel is just hot ;) Falling in love all over again.

I met my wife here on BF. :thumbup:

My first gift to her during our courtship was an HI British Army Service.

This summer, she wants to get certified for CCW.

I am a rich man. ;)
 
I play a lot of paintball - have for 20 years. I remember one day I was explaining a problem with one of my markers to my wife - who I always thought half assed listened - and then she says out of the blue 'Did you clean or flip the cup seal?'

Same as the OP. I almost shat. Not only was this out of the wild blue - but it was timely and correct in its assessment.

I simply hugged her and said 'Yup. I flipped the cup seal and the leak stopped.' **Tough Face**

If you are lucky enough to have a woman who is that interested in your happiness, you should try to include her in some of your hobbies and down time. As you go thru life you both will change slightly every few years and slowly grow apart if you are not careful. Possibly knowing that you can avoid problems down stream.
In todays world, its always nice to hear stories with happy endings.

I would say you guys are very lucky men.
 
Excellent story Dylside, your a very lucky man......My wife is similiar,I don't think she is reading my magazines but she knows what brand of firearms and knives I like and she loves the outdoors ...we all are very lucky men.....

I think she's more into bikes than I am. lol. I have no doubt that part of the reason she started dating me was to have an all access pass to the bikes. We didn't ride together in a car unless it was raining for the first 6 months we were together. Just took one of the bikes everywhere. She even talked me into getting a touring bike just so we would have enough room in the hardbags and top case for groceries. It seemed strange that I was the one who said, "but you have a car that holds groceries just fine."

My wife didnt understand what it is with my obsessions, she is comming around though. The other day she came home w/ a benchmade bali, that im not allowed to touch..... She also has a benchmade auto that I found at a creek last summer. She likes the butterfly.....
