and you can see the strap is not sewn in it goes
through a slot and can easly be replaced if cut. And the strap is what holds the knife in the sheath. This way I can make sheaths ahead and don't really have to be fit the sheath to the knife.

Defaultuser nice sheath.. Yes, I like Black and broiwn sheaths. And you are welcome to copy theis sheath.
I had to sew a big belt loop on the back to stiffen the sheath because of the cut out in the front of the sheath.

Very very nice Art! Question: when you do 2 color sheaths like that, do you dye your lighter color first then go back and dye the dark? I've been wanting to try a 2 color sheath.

That is how I did this sheath, And I did a hightler coat that covers a lot of things that looks uneven. The sheath has to be dry so the die don't run where you don't want it. also your brush needs to very little die on it wher you are dieing around the tooling, then I go back and put a second coat on with a weter brush but stay back away from the edge and the die will run up to the edge of where you want it and not out where you don't want it. Hope this makes sence. If not let me know and I'll try again.

Makes sense. Kind of like painting. You get detailed up next to your edges around windows, then when you come back to fill in it all blends together.
Thanks :)

Yes, but with leather dies and you need enough die to cover it good.

PS: and good luck with it.

I don't really know I got them at a hobby shop. I think for water colors had 8 different sizes in the package. It is kinda slow dieing with small brush.
