  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I just got a bunch of new gear!

Except the tube tent.

THAT I would ditch and buy a tarp.

I really like the one they sell at Oregon Firearms Academy. (just took a course there so I am a bit bias) They are 10X10 and have sewn loops instead of grommets. Very high quality. I think they are about $80

Nice gear. Great start. Heck! Great finish!

So what do you think the total $ ended up to be?

Yeh I'll probably get a good tarp eventually.
Money was disappearing fast, and the tube tent was only $6
For now I'm gonna play with that, and some plastic sheeting I have.

Total for all the stuff shown was... $270

Cool stuff!

What are you toting it in?

Maxpedition Condor II, 10x4 bottle holder, and Proteous buttpack are also on the way.
I found a really cheap source, like 20% under normal retail; the Condor was $86 if i recall right.

Perhaps get a Black Crater Cord Lock Light for your sleeping bag drawcord, hood drawcord or rucksack drawcord.

And because the only thing better than a good thing, is...... more good things, maybe try the Photon Freedom Micro lights too.

You'll love 'em!

Haha you evil man, trying to make me go broke.

I have a blue photo freedom microlite.
I EDC it with my CRKT Minimalist necker.

I also have a pile of fauxton chinese copies, and County Comm keychain lights that are tagged on to almost everything I own.

I have found that my compasses are affected by batteries. If your watch is battery opperated you might want to check and see if it points the same dirrection as your other compasses.
