This is the series of events I see unfolding in the not-so-distant future.

Step 1: Sell motorcycle.
Step 2: Two weeks notice at job.
Step 3: Take part of the money from motorcycle and get on wife's medical insurance through her job.
Step 4: Use remaining money from motorcycle to purchase materials and float myself on bills for the next few months.
Step 5: Jump into knifemaking both feet full time and see what happens.

The absolute worse case scenerio: Full time knifemaking doesn't work out and I'm forced to get another job, in which case I'll be in the exact same boat I am in now. So even if it goes bad, I'll still be no worse off than I am now. The only difference being that I'll be out a motorcycle.

Good luck Dylside!!! I can't see how you could do worse after all selling two knives a month will beat that paycheck.

Yep. The one liberating thing about being at the bottom... only one way to go. Up.

Well, you can probably beat the $150 a week. LOL.

Good luck with your new job. I quit an office gig about 7 years ago to work in the music business. It was a struggle for a while, but I have had a great time doing what I love. Through hard work, being honest & being sober I have moved up to working with some of the top people in the industry. I'm not rich but I have what I need. Tonight I'll be rockin' out to Motorhead in Austin! I look forward to seeing more of your work.

I was just thinking. What if you're just not worth much?

Change of plans. I rode all my bikes yesterday afternoon. I can't bare the thought of parting with any of them. That is no longer an option. The new plan is getting a part time job after i can get on the wife's insurance. No matter what happens, I know I can't stay here. It's just not in the cards.

I get the vast majority of my steel from Nick, and highly recommend him. And, no, no problem posting in my forum Nick. Anytime bro.

Thank God you came to your senses. You had me worried for a minute. Ride on.

Very cool, good luck with your new path.

Yea, what the hell were you thinking! Good call keeping your wheels. I'd sell my left nut before I'd sell my bikes.
