I JUST HAVE TO SAY THANK YOU....

Duncan my friend what fine gifts from two fine gentlemen. However my friend you are a very deserving recipient it was just a few weeks ago that Paul, Ron, Andrew, Jack and yourself conspired behind closed doors and sent to me via Andrew a new Shuffler which by the way is in my pocket right now. I remember when I posted that I had never owned a 71 Bullnose and a few days later a package from North Dakota appeared in my mailbox inside a beautiful 71 Ebony Bullnose from our buddy Paul. Jeff also is not only an outstanding member but an outstanding human being. Thank you for posting this Duncan it put a smile on my face. I hope you don't mind but I'm posting a picture of my Shuffler and Bullnose.

Im a big fan of Duncan and New Zealanders in general as you all know. But once again I feel obliged to correct my "broo" from "across the dutch*" .
That second picture is in fact a photograph of the original founding members of the porch taken back in 2006 discussing the differences between 1095 carbon and 1070.
If you look closely you will see many familiar faces.
*nothing to do with the dear people of Holland but the typical mispronounciation of the Australian language by Kiwis.
;):D:D:thumbsup:

lol
Oh...I love the way Australians slightly twist History to make themselves look good.

Meako my friend- I too am a fan of you- and I am glad that this exists- because if it werent for the true story depicted on the American $2 note - a Historical picture of the New Zealanders- seen in the picture persuading the English not to kill all the riff raff and dangerous Criminals from their Country- Australia simply would not exist.

The Americans were so astonished and thankful that such a small but amazing Country like New Zealand exists and captured this moment for all time- so the World will never forget.
The New Zealand people managed to persuade the powers to be to let you guys live and send them to the big Desert wasteland Island slightly North of the Paradise New Zealand - as we - the New Zealanders could use these people in the future for intensive Labour Jobs that are beneath such folk like us - WE can give them LIFE!

I'm proud to be part of a Nation- that saved a Nation that nearly never was.
Through the tenacity the Australian people have Powers man - take for instance - you just know this when you see an Australian Man who steps into a Sheep paddock for instance - the Sheep immediately stop chewing - get nervous as hang - group together in a circle facing out .... Im not too sure why this is - but this tells me something that only pure Animal instinct recognises, something that lies with the Australian man.
Respect bro, respect

edit: Funny seeing Pauls shot below of the Sheep...

What was this thread about again?
Oh yeah getting fleeced in NZ.
I went to Hobbiton with my son who has craftily installed himself in Wellington and lives among them.
Second biggest attraction in the country.
80nzd per head × 40 head per bus × 90 busses per day everyday except xmas day =
the kind of money even lawyers only dream of.
Really good though.
Apologies for gettung off track.

Having been on the receiving end of gifts from Campbellclanman Campbellclanman and paulhilborn paulhilborn I can say they are both extremely generous individuals! I have also had the privilege of working with them on several fundraising projects. I really don’t know how they first became acquainted but one would think they have known each other forever! Having the opportunity to meet them both in person at last years Rendezvous I will add they are both genuine individuals and really fun to spend time with. They are both easy to get to know and they obviously share a love for Cutlery like most of us here. I just wish it could have been a longer visit. Having said all this I’ll add just one thing, they are both “Huggers”!!! Keep you eyes on them around your wives!:p:D

Very nice! Those make a great pair.

Some people here in the US consider the $2 bills lucky.

Those are some nice gifts from even nicer folks! Thanks for sharing, Duncan!

If someone wants to send me a $100 to look at? just putting it out there :D seriously though the New Zealand Money is getting very nice to look at too these days, although we dropped the $1 and $2 bills long ago and replaced them with Coins- darned annoying to be honest!

Duncan, I'll send a couple $100 bills your way so you can take a look, one old and one new. Heck, seeing as we're in the digital age, I'll just send 'em digitally here and save on postage. ;) :D

On the left there is an example of Duncan's own generosity, a J.A. Henckels Sodbuster that I won in a GAW he held while back.

Lol
Meako you crack me up my friend. I hope your spirits are High my friend.

Ron- I actually had to pull Paul aside and get him to stop hugging everyone’s Wives- it was getting embarrassing- he tried it with me asking if we could spoon in the Hotel room! I settled on rocking him to sleep just the one night. :D

bbt01 haha - I really need to handle both of those- if you could send them so I can do this? :D

I recently handed over a new 10dollar bill.
It was made of plasticy sort of material and looked as though it had been sticky taped back together.
It looked cheap.
And what happened to that money smell of old paper bills.?
Man if we could bottle that smell as an aftershave....
Hi Baby
mmmmmm you smell goooord.
Its Old Money
lets go back to my place .
