Can I buy you a couple of beers I need a new knife?a knife from DPX
me1: It's a framelock! I don't buy famelocks so why did I just spend $290?
me2: It's all metal. Short, thick knife. Looks cool.
me1: But I want the thumbhole, not another thumbstud. And it's too small... and heavy... 1/4lbs... I I don't even know what steel it is!!!!!
me2: Well, the order is complete and I can't cancel it.

About average for a standard fishing weight4 oz is heavy?
I reckon if you're a petite individual, perhaps!4 oz is heavy?
Kershaw ?They didn't process the order yet so I canceled it. LOL. anti-climactic?
There just isn't a folding knife out there for me... the universe refuses to provide....
No, 4oz isn't heavy, I'm just all over the place. Been without a knife for a while not sure what I'm getting. Heavy is fine, just needs to be right.
Simple criteria, right: ?
All metal.
Made in USA.
Folder.
Deep carry pocket clip.
extras:
Super steel.
Thumbholes.
Sheepsfoot blade.
Assisted? not happening, i know

Sent this one back as the spring was too tight to open, so I exchanged it for a Le Sabot Alpin in chestnut and sandvik steel. Not any reference to the knife above, but I just acquired a French Alpin because it was carbon steel…..and….wait for it…..the horn was shiny and pretty!!View attachment 1870240
Kershaw is not weak.Kershaw is weak.
I've been waiting for the Manix 2 that has a 'i forgot what supersteel' and has screws instead of rivets. If I buy the one available now, they'll release the new one shortly after... bet...
I'd love to browse more companies like DPx....
Do you mean S110V steel?Kershaw is weak.

Lock stick as long as it's not excessive is OK in my book. I prefer a little lock stick with a frame lock.I own one and I don't hate it, but I wouldn't really recommend it in particular.
I like the ergos a lot, especially on a knife with such a short blade. If I wanted something very heavy duty and Chicago or Boston legal I would probably carry it. Lots of lock stick, which I'm not a big fan of. I don't have any plans to get rid of mine, but if I lost it I wouldn't replace it, for whatever that's worth.
