The trick there is to subscribe to those forums. I get emails for each new sale thread and the price doesnt go away in an email.

There is no reason do it. Some people do, so then others copy.

I am thrilled to see this Remington though. Some day.
You might want to check out this page, which has information about the original Remington knives. If you knives are old, they may be valuable.

That is a Remington R4283 5 blade "sowbelly" stock knife. The bad news is it is also FAKE. The blade shapes, handles, bolsters, stamps, etc.... are all off. The real Remington version is / was one of the most sought after knives in the Remington line, so it gets faked a lot.

If it were real, and in good shape, it would be a knife worth it the low $1000's.

Bummer

H Hendersonarmy just a reminder but you cannot ask about value if you are not a gold member or above. Don't want you to get in trouble! If you really have that many knives that you have questions about, I would suggest paying for a membership and then you can post in a bunch of the subforums to try and find the value. This will also allow you to sell as well. Good luck!

he got his answer. It's fake.
I closed the thread.

My apologies to ALL I am new to all of this. I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to ask value and anything else I might have done, it was not intentional. Also forgive me for my photo uploads, I didn't know if I was doing it right or not so I tried a few times. After this post I will look at paying for a membership, hopefully you all will have it in you to forgive me and help me along the way. Thanks

You’re Golden now and good to go. Welcome to BF, more knowledge here than just about anywhere else. Research the different forums and sub forums, lots of times you will want to hit a targeted audience rather than a general or wrong area that just will get moved by the Mods.

You can practice posting pictures all you want here, no one will bother you or care. You’ll get the hang of it really quick, and now that you’re Gold, you can directly upload your pictures versus using a hosting site. Best of luck on your endeavors.

Thanks for the encouragement, it has been a rough start so far. I am a disabled Iraq Veteran so I do have thick skin and vary few emotions left, I think it's a good thing due to the feedback I have gotten so far.
I am currently searching for the right place to ask a question I have about a ProTech that I can't find anything on line about. Any suggestions would help.

Thanks

You can post your pro-tech question here. :)
