I just ordered my "Thank God!" knife.

I haven't been around much lately, as I have been fighting cancer. Fortunately for me, I have an excellent surgeon and oncologist, who look after me like a couple of old mother hens. The "Thank God!" part came in when my latest PET and CT scans showed up clear. So, to celebrate both my Creator and my blessing, I felt that the most appropriate knife that I could buy, would be a Buck, for obvious reasons.

Anyway, when they were selling Boone & Crocket Alpha Dorados, I must have been standing behind the door, because I really had to hunt to find one. However, find one I did and it, along with a couple of Buck mugs, are on the way. I am really looking forward to using the Alpha Dorado when it arrives and I think that I will cull the heard of other brands to make some room for more Bucks.

I am glad that you understand that it all comes from the creator, glad you've been given a clean bill of health, glad you are thankful and not defeated by the whole thing, and glad you are getting yourself a nice knife to celebrate!
 
Congratulations, Al. We've never met, but it always makes me happy to hear cancer success stories. Great job on your fight! :thumbup:
 
Thank God for your clean bill of health and live life to it's fullest. I have lost 3 family members so far this year. 2 of them due to the big C. Wish you the best and congrat's on your new knife.

I am sorry for your loss, RB. Thirty-seven years is a good fight in anyone's book. I am sure that I would have liked her spirit.

Thank you David, for your kind blessings. I think that I know what it is like to be born again, this time without the blinders.

@ Pack Rat - Survivor scars for sure. Now I have something in common with many a White Tail.

@ Chris & Wolf - Thank you both for the well wishes. I will try to be worthy of the kindness I have been shown in this thread. You are all more special than you can ever imagine.
