and was wondering just what I might expect from this mini-grit?

Your comments and experiences would be appreciated...

Too many stones and too few tools/knives that need work. Guess ir might be time to acquire a few more items to reprofile and sharpen :D :D :D

It sharpens quickly for how fine of a grit it has. You really only need a splash of water to get it to sharpen, but soaking the stone for extended periods of time is fine, too. The stone can gouge, but it's easily flattened with wet/dry sandpaper on a flat surface. Works great after sharpening with their 1000 grit waterstone and I'm told (but don't personally know) it works even better after their 4000 grit stone. It's perfect either as a final sharpening step or for use before stropping.
