I was talking to my wife on the phone, sitting on the couch and dropped my Yojimbo 2 and it went straight into the side of my foot. Just the weight pushed it in about a 1/2". Stopped bleeding pretty quick, but bleed like crazy for about 5 minutes. I'd show my foot, but that would mean a quick pedi. In the pic below you can see the slice in my sock.

I blame Sal. :D

Ouch... I know that feeling. I dropped a tenacious and cut my leg open about half an inch, looked like a vajayjay for a while.

I did the same thing as you a few years ago but it hit right beside my Achilles. I went to the E.R. just to make sure I didn't have any tendon damage; luckily it was all good, but my fiancée still gripes about it anytime I play with my knives!

Ooh dam. I have dropped a couple and luckily gotten all my appendages out of the way. That looks like it bled a bit. Did you get off without stitches?

Blood and gore on a monday. Hope it heals quick, the foot is an uncomfortable place to be injured.

Interesting thread. Just a couple of hours ago I read this post you made in one of my threads regarding your yojimbo 2!

I dig mine......It gets EDC'd quite a bit and is in the rotation of my Manix 2, SB Stretch and PM2 these days. In fact, I am holding it as I type this.

I remember thinking to myself "mind you don't cut yourself mordecai!" Hehe. I swear.

Heal up quick brother. :)

On a semi related note I dropped a red snapper on my foot this morning and got finned deep and bled like a stuck pig! The world is a dangerous place!

Out of all Spydies to drop on one's foot, I would bet the Yojimbo would dig into flesh the deepest. That point. Youch.

I live in Los Angeles and we have a really nice earthquake kit. It stopped bleeding and I used two butterflies and a large bandaid from the kit. But the cut was a little over a 1/2", so those that own a Yojimbo 2 can guess the depth the blade went in. Glad I wipe the blade with mineral oil.....as it is food safe. :D

I will say, it was not painful and made a really clean cut. I will see if I need to visit the urgent care tomorrow.

Damn, I am very respectful of my yojimbo 2 just for that reason. Hope that heals quick!

Oh man, I'm sittin here typing (very carefully) & looking at the blade of my Yo2...man that went deep to make a half inch cut!!!

Take care and heal up:thumbup:

Paul

If you don't have to go to Urgent Care, covering it with Zinc Oxide (like lifesavers put on their noses) on it after cleaning will help it heal faster.

I used to date Certified Wound Specialist and that was one of the few only good things I got out of that relationship. ;)

I have the yojimbo and the p'kal that I edc a lot. I have got myself with the yojimbo yet a though after sharpening my p'kal to a mirror edge I was playing with it. I pinched the lock and flipped the blade down and the button of the knife slipped deeper into my palm and it sliced through my palm like nothing. It was pretty scarry how it didn't even slow down when it hit my palm. Slices a 1/2 inch gash in my palm. I stopped playing.with it. Carry only. Lol

Enjoy the recovery and change those bandaids often

I dropped my Southard on my foot before. Went straight through my Nikes and into my foot so I know how you feel. :)

Yikes! I stuck my outter thigh with a Yo 1 years ago. Those needle-like points really do a number on skin!
