Occasionally. I was once in this tobacco shop in Carmel-by-the-Sea- You know where Clint was mayor. I spent a lucious half our opening packets of pipe tobacco and smelling them in order to decide what to buy.

Amazing fun!

I'm getting back into it myself. . . . Smoked one for years. . . '80's and early 90's. . . then sort of fell into the convenience of cigars. . but now I'm back with a vengeance. . . at least while I'm at my desk in my office. . . I need to have that lighter nearby!!!! ;)
 
It's all in how you pack it. The great thing about smoking a pipe is that it is entirely solitary and requires you to puff on the sucker and ignore everything else - that is, if you want to keep the heater going.
