I always think of the old sailor sitting on the edge of the wharf watching the sun go down and contemplating the world. That's pipe smoking to me.

Cheers,
BJB :D

It's all in how you pack it. The great thing about smoking a pipe is that it is entirely solitary and requires you to puff on the sucker and ignore everything else - that is, if you want to keep the heater going.

Yeah. Overpackin' sucks. Then you gotta use your pipe nail to dig it out. Hey Jerry, if you make a shiv pipe nail, let me know ;)

Okay, Here's the scoop!!! In a blind taste test with 20 of the hardest core Scotch drinkers you could ever hope to meet. . . . This newfound Scotch rivals JWB for smoothness, and many feel that it tastes better than JWB!!! . . . . It's not available everywhere, but Oh Baby!!!! If you can find it, and you don't mind letting go of a $20.00 bill. . . This will soon be your new love!!!!!

It is appropriately named "Pig's Nose". . . How HOGlitically correct is that???

I always appreciated the saying "The pipes draws wisdom and shuts up the fool"... Monday, I get the whole saying :D

Pig Scotch... Right on

Well, Jerry, if you are just going to let all your Blue sit on the shelf, in favor of your new Hog Liquor, you can send it to me :D :D

Jerry: You said newfound whisky: All I read was Newfoundland whisky. Apparently there are some very good brewers brewing scotch in Newfoundland. This, of course, makes it Canadian whiskey, but definitely not rye. I don't know what to call it. The EU must be having coniptions. Anyways, I'm going to have to pick some up and give her a shot.

Enjoy gents. Good night. This boy's going to bed on the eve of his first anniversary. And boy did we have good ets tonight.

Cheers,
Bill :D

Any of you guys smoke a pipe? . . . . .

All through college and on a rare occasion these days. I am not very good at it though. I spend more time fidgeting with it than smoking it. I like the corn cob mods, I have several of my dad's pipes. He smoked them when I was a boy, so pipe smok ealways reminds me of him. Man I tried darn near every pipe tobacco the local guys had to offer. I still favor the old Capt. Black cheap stuff. :) Some of the english stuf like Four Square is pretty good too. Very different from some of the american tobacco.
