Hi I'm new here I do not know how to use forums every time I try I just fail at them I do not know why. So if I'm posting this in the wrong place and really sorry I just don't know how forms work. I am forum retarded I hope I learn. I came here because I am trying get one of these sets it's impossible!!! I'm winning and all of a sudden some rich douchebag comes along and outbids me by like 300 dollars it's ridiculous, How did the sellers get them, and how did they know when they were coming out ? Better question how much did they pay? I just really like them but these people are heartless and you know I heard somebody on eBay got a yacht for $170 million dollars I have no chance because these are the kind of people I'm bidding against! I thought they had Christie's and Sotheby's I guess that's not fun to them on that site because they can't torture people an throw there money around like they can on eBay that us everyday people go NO CHANCE for us ugh I don't know what to do I just want I just want these!

The first picture is the high end set and there are two of them on the bay right now and both in Australia.

The second picture is the less expensive set and there are a bunch of them on the bay.

For the high end "gold luster" set you will probably have to pay up if you want one.

I moved this to its own thread. It did not belong in a thread about another knife. You might get even more help if you could tell us what they are.

Yes I can see why you struggle on forums. Just take some time and read the rules and I am sure it will be a lot easier. Also I would be careful on the way you express yourself. In your post you both offended those that may be special needs or be close to someone who is special needs (myself included). Also you attacked those that outbid you and called them names. Just because you cant afford something doesn't make those that can afford it wrong in some way. If I felt wronged every time I could not afford a custom piece of art here on the forum, I would be too busy whining than to actually learn something here. As far as the knives your looking at, I don't know anything about them because in your rant you did not provide any information we could use to help you. Supply and demand. Save up, learn how to make em, or find something you can afford.

I see there are a couple Scagels on that auction site right now. Probably some rich guy with a monocle and a top hat will get them. Or like Donald Trump.

The stainless sets are going for $350 and you want a Gold set? And you want it cheap.? With a quick google search it's obvious these are in demand to collectors.

.

For one thing, those are ridiculous. However, they do seem to have several auctions running for under $300 right now on the Extra Big Auction site, okaY?

Regardless of being from such a seemingly politically correct state, shouldn't one want to carry themselves with a little more dignity and respect for others?

On top of that, if someone is looking to purchase a set of steak knives wouldn't it carry a little more prestige if the set of steak knives that was purchased was a custom set for a comparable amount of money?
While my question may sound like it is coming from a place of ignorance, I feel that having a gold plated set of steak knives, that are sought after by collectors, as a signal that one is looking to portray a certain image. Hence, the custom pieces would carry a little more clout while supporting a custom craftsman on the forum.

I would totally EDC a Snap-On steak knife.

But only if I can demolish a conventionally framed building with one! :D

Okay, okay. I'm sorry.

Welcome, Hollywood! Part of the trouble with forums, for me anyway, is that it's hard to get people's meaning without the benefit of tone of voice and facial expression.

Most people around here aren't serious, but we do enjoy poking fun at knives and knife-related articles that don't quite seem to make sense.

Wrenches make excellent blade steel, and I appreciate the "ploughshares to swords" theme of wrench/knives.

Where I stumble with this is that these seem to veer away from Snap-On's reputation for making tools that are made to work as hard as the roughboys who use them. I think if they didn't have the "Snap-On" logo on them, I wouldn't be scratching my head.

Please understand that I am not faulting your taste. That is personal, and none of my business. I'm having trouble understanding what Snap-On was thinking.....

Hey, they are knives, and there is nothing wrong with coveting a set of gold SnapOn Steak Knife Wrenches. Or "Strenches" (© 2015 by marcinek).

What is a tad nutty, in my opinion, is blaming the fact that you don't have enough money to afford them on some rich guy conspiracy. Like the Bilderberg Group is keeping you from buying your steak knife set.

I'm going to throw in random references to "stkenches" from time to time.

Let there be meme!

Shouldnt that be "STKENCHES"?

You guys can have "stkenches" or "stenches"...just remember I got the copyright on "strenches" (©2015 by marcinek).

Imma get rich! You know how many rich guys there are out there who wanna buy those things?!? Huge, high-end market.
