I keep coming back to the Endura.

*** and I apologize now for this necro-post. I forgot I was reading past posts when I answered this. Sorry!

Don't sweat it. If it is an interesting thread, why not bring it up, again?

As for the Endura, it is a hard knife to beat. This is Spyderco's answer to the successful and much loved and abused Buck 110. The Endura is a great knife to be sure.

My plain jane Endura 4 gets a lot of pocket time. Carry's like a small knife, works like a big one. I haven't really found anything to fault it for, guess I like everything about it.

I couldnt have said it better myself. Its one of my favorite spydies to carry, but like the OP i will still buy more :D.

My latest purchase is an Endura 4 FFG with basic black handle. It's now one of my EDCs. I own 2 Millies, a PM2, and many more expensive knives. I find myself carrying the Endura FFG much more than those other, more expensive knives. It cuts as well, and is light enough to easily carry it down in-pocket, clip and all, without feeling like a load in my pocket.

It's the one knife against all the others are compared. My original Spyderco was the G10 Endura and it is still my favorite EDC.

I've tried to replace it at least 12 times and still I wear/carry/use my ragged Endura nearly every day. I like it :D

Best knife ever. I own 4, an original with the clip ground off, a forest green full serrated, a black flat ground and a Wave.

The way I look at it; why get a Military or Police if I have an Endura?

If you have a stainless or G10 Endura I can understand.I like my Police 3 G10 much, much more than my old FRN Enduras...and I loved those!

That being said for a big blade that is easy carry, handy and light the FRN Enduras rock hard! And the bang for the buck is obvious!

Two of the reasons I like the Endura are the light weight and low cost. I tried one G10 version and it lost out in both areas, costing and weighing quite a bit more. I enjoy my Milis, PMs, Yojimbos, etc., but the Endura fills its own niche.

I too have an endura with an integral pocket clip from the mid 90s and a an endura4. It's impressive how much it's been improved and refined thru the years. Such a great value the frn DF2/Delica4/Endura4 knives represent.

My Endura is in my pocket now. I normally have a Delica. But for the last few days I have been modding an Endura and it has been with me quite a bit. I prefer the light weight of this knife. I know there are stronger back locks from another maker, but their knives do not do all things well, and the Endura does. It is easy to carry, slim so it does not fill up a pocket. It is light in weight so it does not get left at home.

Funny, I am in the opposite dilemma. The FFG Endura was my hands-down favorite for years for all the reasons stated here. But when I finally found a lefty Military almost a year ago, it has all but booted my Enduras back to the nightstand. Like the Endura, it offers a lot of blade length for minimal weight, but the grind and tip of the Military make my Enduras feel like butter knives now.

Love love love the Endura, I carry different Spydie's but the Endura carved a special place in my heart too. I remember constantly checking my pocket with a bit of panic thinking it was gone only to find it holding snug and tight by its sturdy clip. I have found I prefer that size blade although it can get a slight gasp from people......I can live with it.

Loved my endura while I had it but moved on to a manix2 in cruwear after carrying it for a loooong time. I think honestly if I could track down a g10 endura it would be in my rotation again but I am not a huge fan of the FRN handles.

In the early 90's I carried and older two dot 440c Buck 110. I have collected older 440c Bucks over the years and it is still a favorite.

I used to carry this knife to work every day and a coworker bought this new fangled Spyderco Endura 1st Gen. He also had an original Worker. But the Endura was where it was at for me. I'd never seen or heard of this company and became instantly fascinated by his Endura. He let me handle it and showed me how to flick it open with my thumb.

This knife was SO light and one didn't require a belt sheath, just clip it in your pocket. I was dumb struck and had to have one pronto. Because of this history it still is one of my favorite Spyderco's.
