After being on this site for a couple days now and reading post for a few years prior, the one thing that keeps getting me puzzled is when someone brings up this one guy everyone seems to go in an irate rage or blesses the ground he walks on. here on blade forum there is a chat that bans the use of his name

So, my question to you all is; Who the heck is Nutnfancy and why does everyone have a big deal with him.

Please if you could KINDLY answer this for me it would be appreciated, and please no profanity towards him or about him I just want to know what the fuss is all about

He's a guy who makes video reviews of products and goes to some shows where he does videos as well.

He irritates some people for generally 1 of 2 reasons.

1) His videos are long, and long winded......like 15 mins where a 5 min video would have sufficed (in some people's opinions).

2) He is a bit "tacticool" in some people's opinions.

I don't really stand on either camp, as I don't really watch review videos that often...but generally that seems to be the consensus as I have noticed it.

I never understood people being irritate by something that they have to choose to watch, but that's just me.........

Feels like trolling b/c I don't understand why you haven't googled him. Just watch some of his youtube knife & gun reviews and make your judgment.

I have not been on the forum for awhile but i think a major thing is that he reveiwed dome fake XM-18 and told everyone to pick one up but that may be just part of it
Thats what i have heard and seen

He's a knife-reviewer on YouTube. Not a bad guy; a little long-winded. I've watched a few of his. Don't know why someone would cuss him out. If you don't like him, don't watch his videos.

i have watched his youtube vids before posting this, all i can tell is he really likes guns & knives...... like every single person here! its not really trolling i just don't eatch vids that much

He is a youtube reviewer.
He has said some stuff that is generally agreed to be wrong, for instance he encouraged buying fake hinderer xm-18's and for obvious reasons that irritated quite a few people. Theres also the fact that he can be over dramatic about things that in reality don't make that much of a difference...... also some of us (me included) just plain find him anoying.

Now. Who wants popcorn?

He was one of the 1st knife reviewer on YT that expanded to other things as he got bigger....

Other than that there really isn't much to say.....

Bloviator extroadinaire is the best way to describe him. As much as I dislike him, I just bought one of his exclusive Lionsteel SR1's because the handle color/clip point are just too awesome.

His videos are very in-depth, most of the time painfully in-depth. I'd say his knife reviews should be taken with a grain of salt, but at the same time they are what inspired me to start collecting knives.

I think the fact that he is very opinionated is what has caused people to either love or hate him. He definitely comes off as a self-proclaimed expert about a lot of things, but he does often acknowledge that there are people that are more well versed.

The video with the knock-off Chinese made Hinderer was extremely irritating and hypocritical of him since he seems to value US Made products in nearly every other video he has made. His also gave a very negative review of the Spyderco Southard which annoyed some folks here on BladeForums.

His videos are long winded true, but the most annoying thing is the way he treats his audience like they are fawning school kids. Otherwise I have picked up a lot of good info from him.

You want controversy, bring up the name "Stamp" - that's good for hundreds of comments.

Things most people dislike about him:
- Longwinded
- Asserts the arguably incorrect (many things he has said about blade steels are highly contested)
- Supports / states things of dubious morality (knockoff knives, etc)

Things I dislike about him:
- Annoying voice / choice of words / behavior
- The creation of "TNP" and "TNPers"
- His aggravating need to give everything a title
- Formulaic reviews

I dislike his videos. A lot. I've watched about 6, and won't watch any more. I did manage to see the Hinderer clone video, which is what most of the ire is from these days, and I didn't find it any more annoying or dumb than any of the others - but, I personally don't see much harm in knockoff hinderers provided that the purchaser knows it isn't genuine. That's a whole different discussion that's been had in countless threads, though.

...Honestly, he's just some guy that makes videos and has a surprising amount of influence. As with anything on the internet, there are a lot of people that take things way too seriously and personally. The amount of butthurt that he inspires would make the most seasoned troll shed a tear.

While it is true that I don't care for nutrs, it's his fans that bother me the most.

Not because they are nutrs fans, but because they tend to take him at his word and then come onto BFC and parrot everything he says instead of learning from people who are more knowledgable.

Of course there is also the fact that whenever he says something controversial, his fans feel obligated to run to BFC and defend him, often trolling and generally throwing mud on the walls for days.

Nutnfancy, is a guy on youtube who reviews knives and calls just about EVERY knife he reviews "tactical".
He has an infatuation with the word and term "tactical", he even went as far to call the Sebenza "tactical" and compared it to the Microtech Socom Elite.
I understand he was in the Military and thank him for his service.
But I think he goes a little overboard.

People's two biggest complaints about Nutnfancy:
His videos are too long
He is full of himself and loves to talk.

I started watching his gun videos, then his knife videos, so I credit him for getting me into knives. Lately I have not been watching his knife videos because I have enough experience to know what I like. I think he has some good info, but you either love him or hate him

... he even went as far to call the Sebenza "tactical" and compared it to the Microtech Socom Elite.

Some years ago, I bought a manual clippoint Socom Elite. I was impressed. Easily the best knife I had ever owned. Shortly thereafter, I won a Sebenza in a contest. The Socom Elite went back in its box. The two knives do have a lot in common, though. And the Sebenza certainly could be called tactical, depending on a definition of the term that stressed reliability in difficult circumstances.
