I know nothing about Busse

I'd suggest an Active Duty in your size range. It's the most ergonomic Busse EDC blade IMO.

Camp/Hike knife? Bony Active Duty. . however for heavier wood work the natural outlaw is a very nice balance of size and weight.

I like the Sar3, but it is tiny. The SAR4 is a little large, for that size I would just bring the outlaw.

That active duty looks good. Are there different variations of the active duty? what's the size of the AD?

There are, from 0.125" to 0.3" - with a 3" blade and a nice ergonomic handle. That one is in black & coyote G-10.

Here is a comparison with a SAR-3:

Hey BBQ Boy.

You probably see me over on the Barkie forum a bit too. If you like Bark River (as you clearly do) then the blades you should be looking at are the satin Finish Sus Scrofas. They are a wonderful lean slicing machine and tough. No problem with super cutting geometry and one of my favourite blades in that size flat, from any maker.

its a fantastic blade thats for sure. and if you dont like the Sheepsfoot profile there is plenty of room to convert.
