I know this might sound bad but….what next?

Well, I got my Large 21 the other day and I am in love with it. I can't put it down for the life of me. Aside from work, the only time I put it down and get on line is to see what other models are there out there to chose from. I have to admit…I find the LARGE 21 just on the edge of being big enough for a fully useful EDC knife. If it were any smaller, I'd have a problem with it. I do carry a smaller knife, and that's a PM2 in S110V steel. BEAUTIFUL knife with a low riding clip that vanishes when I wear it. I might order an extra clip for the Large 21 and send it out to be cerekoted in black, just to help keep it better concealed. Not sure though. It will match the ebony inlays a bit better though….not for nothing.

So if I wanted another Sabenza (Large)…what would you suggest? I was never a fan of stonewash blades…but these blades don't really look stonewash. I really like the polished finish on my 21.

Why is there no love for the 25 and everyone I talk to loves the 21 so much better???

Don't get me wrong, I like my 25. The handle of the 25 is a little thinner, and the blade is a little thicker. Have you thought about an Umnumzaan? My advice is too cool your jets for a few weeks or months. If you grind your way through all the CRK models, without ever carrying any one for a length of time, you might miss out on really appreciating the thoughtful and useful designs. That is one reason I am carrying my 25 for the next month. I've owned it for a while but never really got to know it due to my pocket clip annoyance that I have now resolved.

Hi, I'm Joe and I'm a Knifaholic.

I've purchased 3 CRK knives this month and don't think I'm going to make it through the weekend without buying a Ti Lock Blue Stream

Go with one of the Wilson Combat models to go with your 1911. :) I don't think they're polished blades, but these non-inlaid models have a totally different feel than the inlays. That's reason enough to add another flavor. Based on your size preference you could look at an Umnumzaan too.

Kidcongo has a good point though, make sure you get to know your CRK(s) and don't take them for granted.

As for the 25, most people who like CRKs like the manufacturing and engineering excellence. While the 25 is no doubt manufactured and engineered better than most knives out there, there were a couple issues people had...namely the stop pin and pocket clip. The 21 doesn't have those issues, and also is harder to manufacture perfectly with the pivot bushing, and CRK fans tend to like this step up in manufacturing/engineering greatness. The Inkosi is smaller for now, but rumor has it there will be a large Inkosi, which will basically be a 25 and will probably replace the 25 in the lineup with the above noted issues resolved. This is conjecture for now, but likely correct conjecture. :D

Try the Umnumzaan if you want something a little bigger or more heavy duty. I think the 25 may be a little stouter than the 21 and the Zaan is stouter than either.

Here is a Zaan and Large 21

Here is a Zaan and 25 (my apologies for the crappy picture).

Hi Joe. You have come to the right place for help. It sounds like you had a good month so far. Keep up the good work!

OP - I'd hands down recommend a 25 in your case preferably Micarta.

I think I am going to go with one of the Wilson Combat versions since I have a few of their pistols. This is the one I just recently got…

I only like the looks of the large Sebenzas to be honest, the other models don't do it for me. So it's either the 21 or 25….I'm on the fence. I do like the inlay work on the 21, but would like to have a 25 just to….."have something different". I just don't want to kick myself in the head later on for dropping half a grand on the wrong model. I can't compare them…sadly.

Twenty Five is a relatively new kid on the block, and the 21 is a multi year classic. I say, buy another while you have the fever. Enjoy your new found passion. As long as you can afford to do so. I have both model Seb's, and the Umnumzaan, and there's enough carrying time for all of them. Perhaps next year we will see another improved Seb - the Thirty?

The ONLY reason I would jump on another one right now is because I know the Wilson Combat models only come in limited numbers. I seeing how I don't know much about the 25….maybe go with a 21? I am enjoying this right now…if I get another right away, I won't know what to pick up and may go mad. LOL. I need to see them side by side to tell...

I love them all! Tons of love for the 25...especially from me. I Edc a 25 Micarta daily. I promise you won't regret purchasing a 21, 25, or Umnumzaan WC!

If it helps, re-sell is so strong that you probably wouldn't lose much if you try one and don't like it. You may not even lose at all if you purchase from the sale forum.

Oh with those beautiful 1911's you NEED a WC StarTac/Umnumzaan.
It's a great knife and blending 2 of your fine collections together is a bonus.

This^^^^

I so want a large Inkosi. It's the main reason I haven't bought a 25 yet.

I love my 25 as much if not more than my 21's I carry 21's more bc of the large and small option... But every time I pull that 25 out, I am quickly reminded, with no regrets, on why I purchased it and the reasons where it excels over the 21. That knife is a straight up beast. If the 21 is a worker, the 25 is a conqueror!

To edit/add... There are ways in which the 21 excels over the 25. It is best to own both.

I'll get a 25...it's just when that is the question. Flat Ti scales or the Wilson? I dono...lots to think about.
