I know this might sound bad but….what next?

I like pj scales because the type of character they receive from use. I don't plan on selling any and love the appearance of a used knife... Kinda weird, I know. I don't prefer to buy used. I love "messing" them up myself.

I always use new golf balls, but will play a ball until it's complete trash or until I lose it... Fortunately, my game has improved so I am not going through a pro v1 every two holes anymore. Last year I played the same ball for 141 holes before hitting it into a living room... My buddies had to hold me back from knocking on the back door to go get it...

That is flippin funny!

I think I narrowed it down a bit…a Large 25 Starbenza from Wilson or a Large 25 with polished titanium scales with carbon fiber inlays. My 21 has polished scales with ebony inlays. Shall I go for something different like the Starbenza? I do like the polished scales though…I do have the 21 like I said with polished scales. I dono….but hey, at least I narrowed it down to two, right?

Well…..there is also the $100 some odd plus difference. THAT….and there are not any Wilson variants with polished scales so. I think I'll probably go with the Starbenza 25. Not in a super rush so perhaps some might surface at a lower price. Not sure…..I like the polished scales and CF inserts, but it's almost identical to my 21 with ebony inserts…and no Wilson "bond". So…decisions decisions.

Keep your eyes on the Exchange, they pop up on there pretty regularly.

Yeah…I will. I mean…as much as I would like to get it brand spanking new, if I can save some $$$ so be it. The Wilson large 25s really surface from time to time? Am I making the right call going with the Wilson and not the polished scaled version with CF inlays? I mean…I love the looks of it, but as mentioned above….it's so close to my 21 where as the Wilson will….well, go nicely with my Wilson .45…and it has different scales. So I think I'm making the right move here. I spoke to a Wilson buddy of mine and said he picked up a new 25 for an even $400….NIB with all the papers and everything. I would do that!

Question, are the versions without the inlays THINNER than the versions with the inlays? I'll get a good grip reaching for a non inlay version…correct? This is going to be the last knife I buy in a VERY long time….not including the 2 I have on back order. Hope I'm making the right choice going with the "Starbenza" 25!!

This is your future! :p :D

It took me a minute to realize a few of your knives are for lefties. Are you ambidextrous? One knife per hand? I'm curious but not critical as I've considered the limitation imposed by not being able to open my 21 with either hand.

Why is there no love for the 25 and everyone I talk to loves the 21 so much better???

There is plenty of love for the 25, it's just a different knife. If someone wanted a "one and done CRK", I typically suggest the 25 as it sort of blends the aesthetics of the 21 with the hardware of the Umnumzaan.

I'm ambidextroux. Also, its not hard to open a Sebenza with the off hand, especially the large. It's even easier if you get double lugs.

BTW, that's a old pic. ;)

Honestly, we can't tell you what you're gonna like. We all like CRK, but some of us dislike things that others love and vice versa. You're going to get a good grip on any CRK including a non-inlay and especially a WC. Some people, however, are dick fingers with whatever they handle and no level of stick 'um, grip tape, or magnetic force will keep a knife or anything else in their hands. So I honestly can't say if you'll like or hate one grip. I doubt you'll be disappointed with whatever you choose though.

Oh, and my small micarta Insingo late last year was going to be the "last knife I bought in a very long time", and I've bought 4 since then, selling one to fund an Inkosi. So we'll see you again in a few weeks. ;)

Do you have an Inksoi yet?

No....all I have is a Large 21 Sebenza that is polished with ebony inlays. Next one will be a 25 Sebenza....I'm not really diggin the other models all so much. I was going to get the same...well, almost the same 25 that I have in my 21 but with CF inserts instead of ebony. But...I have one with inserts. So I think I want just traditional titanium handles since I have heard that they do in fact provide a good grip. And when I learned about the "Starbenza 25"...I assumed they provide an even better grip AND it would go well with my Wilson handguns so....Sebenza 25 it is. Just not sure on exactly which one. Probably the "Starbenza 25".....I think.

Now THAT is freakin' funny!! LMAO!

Sigh, my 25 is collecting dust.

I would buy more 21s if i had the budget, I believe they are perfect knives. 25 is nice, but nowhere near the 21.
Plus the thinner 21 blade is leaps and bounds more performance than the 25.

I read this everywhere when I was deciding on the 21 or 25 for my first. I went with the 21st and I LOVE it. I'm waiting for the 25 in the mail from Wilson Combat. I think that if I don't like it as much, I may send it back and have them send me the 21 version instead. BUT....other people say they like the 25 better. I was hoping to find out Friday, but looks like I may have to wait until Monday. AND the blade is polished on the 21....where the 25 is stone washed. I'll know more soon! :)
