I like my Sebenzas just the way they are...

I think looking for improvments on anything one loves s not only interesting but can bring about some neat ideas. I think everyone wins with contributions from users. As safe queen use, I can see that performance isnt key, but people that use the seb in the field may find things that could be improved or changed for their use. For me, I really like my seb, and it works great for my uses. I do understand that it may not be perfect for everyone however:)

Its Hard To Improve on a knife that Works so well and Looks Great for so

many Knifenuts........:D:thumbup:

Sebenza's are amoungnst my favorite knives, but everything can be improved.

those are beautiful:thumbup:

The only thing im not crazy about on the sebbie is the studs...nothing too major and i have one on the way right now... the studs do look great but arnt the most comfortable IMO

The reason you may not like the feel of the lug is because of improper opening. A common mistake is to push down on the lug to open it. The correct way is to come in from the side with your thumb and swing your thumb in a curving motion. I know there are some pics on BF of someone correctly opening the knife that might help. But I'm not sure where to direct you to look for them. Maybe someone with more BF knowledge than me can help find the pics. Good luck with it.

Could the S30v vs. BG42 be considered a deal breaker? I've heard some gripes about the S30v recently and it has caused me to hesitate.

I'd buy a BG42 off the exchange but if I'm buying my first CRK I'd like to have a brand new one.

i have an S30V sebenza, and i have no problems with the edge, as of now it isnt screaming sharp but it is sharp enough to cut what i have to.

I like my Small Regular just the way it left the factory. It's been my main folder for over 2 years and I can't see myself replacing it with anything else, or modding the knife in any way. Perhaps when I have some spare time I'll do a Scotch Pad treatment on the handle, as it's pretty scuffed up, but it doesn't bother me in the least.
