I like the 112 better than the 110

I also prefer the 112, The handle just feels right to me.
The 110 will always be iconic though, it is what everyone
thinks of when someone says Buck knife.

I'm a big fan of the 112 as well. It was my first real Buck knife and got me started into collecting them. I bought a 110 a few months after the 112, but I've only used it as a hunting and meat processing knife, where it certainly excels. I carried the 112 for several years as my primary EDC for all the reasons the OP outlined. It's really a great edc knife and it stands up to hard use very well.

I'm with Pinnah and others on this one. I prefer the 110 over the 112, but without a doubt, take the 500 Duke over the 112.

I do have a Buck 112 & two 110's. However, I personally like the feel of a 112. I'm just an average size man. So the 112 fits perfectly into my hand.
Here is my 112

Here's one of my 110's

I also like the 112 better than the 110... Even though I am 6'2 / 220 pounds, and have fairly big hands, I have always like my knives on the smaller side...
There are some bigger knives that are comfortable, but I don't like carrying big folders.

I like the "feel" I get when using a smaller knife, that I don't get with a larger knife. Especially when working on deer and elk. Granted there are times when a little longer blade is easier, but it's a compromise.

I've been looking at the 112 lately, because I was looking for an option in between the 110 and 55 to carry in my jeans pocket. However, when closed, the 112 is very close to the 110 in size. So I figured if I was going to be stuck with the bulk, I might as well enjoy the larger blade the 110 has to offer. I do prefer carrying the 110 in its leather belt pouch though.

I've never tried the 112 or equivelent sized Schrade offerings.
I like the size and heft of the 110, it just feels "right" in my hand. I don't notice the weight on my belt, and do not feel it (or the knives and multi-tools in my pockets) when sitting or sleeping.
(I'm an over the road truck driver. I only take off my boots, second pair of eyes (glasses) bluetooth devise, and hat, when I go to bed.)

I like them both, but for me which one is preferred is situational; I prefer the Buck 112 for cleaning a turkey and carry this one when turkey hunting. For deer I prefer the Buck 110 and have two that I carry when deer hunting (this one is a Two Dot, but I also clean deer with a Four Dot - which one I carry depends on which one is already in the truck). If you like carrying the 110 in a sheath, definitely try the 112. Anyone you ask will tell you the having both the 110 and the 112 is a good thing. I'm a fan of the 112 because it fits my hand so nicely. I have big hands as well. I love the 110 too, but it's just a little more blade than I need on most occasions...

I like both as well but also prefer the 112...

Although I do have to admit the 110 is like an old friend and not bad as remember it being.

That is the one thing I like about the 112 over the 110: the finger guard. That is a very practical addition, as anyone who has had his hand deep in a bloody deer cleaning it with a knife can attest. Peace of mind.
