I Little Hike (For those of you who don't live in the desert)(Most of you :D )

Mammillarias are a protected plant species. Douchebags like you will ruin it for everyone else when it comes time to start closing down trails and camping areas to preserve the wilderness. Btw, your New Mexico desert is a vacation paradise compared to the Mojave and Sonoran desert regions.

I live near the Mojave desert, have backpacked in the Sonoran and spent many months in New Mexico. The "New Mexico" desert is actually quite beautiful!!! But you probably wouldn't know that would you!!!

Thanks for the post man, I always enjoys pics from the desert. The next trip I make to a different environment will be to the desert.

I too am wildly attracted to this photo, and I just can't figure out why. It gives me kind of a woody feeling.

From one desert dweller to another, I love the pics man! I live in Goodyear, a suburb of Phoenix and spend most of my outdoor time in the surrounding deserts.
I love visiting other places, but nothing feels like home like the desert! Would love to visit NM one of these days. I hear some of the landscapes are amazing.

This reads like the Sonoran desert region is also a hard place to develop social skills...perhaps your level of social skill is more suited to W&C.

Nice pics man, I've not been down to the desert in ages. I like the scales you have on your 14. Also, that snake looks funny.
