For a few hours and I thought I was going to die. I don't thnk I can survive without my survival kit. That is all. I am going to go back to the couch and snuggle with it now.

Hope you find it. I carry my psk on my belt which is looped throught the belt loops of my pants, in a small black compass pouch. I so far have not lost my pants LOL.
This is my current set up.

In this pic I have everything unpacked I now carry a small fixed blade and a farmer SAK instead of the red one I used to carry. I did take out the sissors too.

Good luck,

I like the idea of carrying the separate SAK scissors and pliers! Very flat.

I have been carrying this one for six years now. I should have elaborated more. I found it a minute or two before my original post. I think I am going to re-do it tonight.

42 blades yep they are pretty flat and I have since taken the sissors out. I now carry a small classic sak and it has the sissors on it so I took them out and put in a little fixed blade Pathfinder knife that I make.

WOW white feather 6 years that is great. So how do you carry your tin in a shirt pocket or pants pocket?

What? No back-up for your back-up PSK? When I "lose" one of my PSK's, I find one of my back-ups which works great because without fail this causes me to create yet another back-up PSK and in the process of building it, I find my original. Hope this helps.

..trouble is, since you lost it? ..you're going to need it 100x's a day until you replace it. ..always happens w/ a tool that one "rarely" uses and then gets misplaced..

..have you checked the freezer tho? ..after a hard night of drinking and I can't find something, I always check the freezer first.. ..the object was only there once, but at least I've ruled out the obvious. ;)

Hehehehe

One of the skills needed to survive is being able to observe and gather information. This is as important as gathering firewood or water ect.

Unless his original post has been edited, he has already found his kit and was posting his relief for having done so.

If his post has been edited, then the joke is on me. ;)

Cool kit, btw. Neat idea w/SAK pliers and scissors.

Hi all,

James it is a firstaid/ compass pouch that I got from black hawk ind. I carry it on my belt right be hind my knife sheath.

It just rides just right I think. Small and yet it reall holds alot of survival goodies:D.

DJ Wolf thanks. Those little pliers really help me out when I am doing some sewing and need to grab the needle to pull it through what ever I am sewing. leather or pack straps stuff like that. If I loose my leather man then I have that little pair as a back up. they do not work as good as the leather man but I can still pull the needle when I need to use it for sewing. Also for small wire it clips it pretty good.

My psk tin has been missing for months since I downsized to owning a condo vs renting a house. It is somewhere......., have already made another but miss all the dewdad's in the old one. The worst is the little case slippy my dad used to carry is in it, everything else is replaceable.
Good luck on your search and one day I MIGHT have 2 tin's.
regards guys
Brad

Whitefeather, glad you found your tin:thumbup:

I had a similar scare with my Bark River Pro Scalpel II a couple of weeks back,CONVINCED I'd dropped it getting in or out of the car:eek: Somehow, it got UNDER the driver's mat, motto clean the inside of the car more:D

Losing a PSK tin would be a drag as it contains carefully put together 'essentials' things that maybe HAVe been used very well beforehand, can't replace memories... My PSK is in an old pipe-tobacco tin, but you Americans keep going on about Altoids, can't get these here in Scandinavia so I feel short changed and un-authentic....everytime somebody I hear of goes to America I start nagging them to buy Altoids(preferably the Ginger ones:D) but they always forget!!! Sigh....
