I just found out. I was checking my pockets, flashlight (check), Leatherman PS4 (check), Peanut (PANIC!). It must`ve slipped out of my pocket in the bus or something like that. Man I am really bummed out. For the past 6 months I always had that little fella on me. I have to get another one, or 2.

Goodbye, I hope whoever finds you keeps you and uses you.

A picture from better days.

I was once told that peanuts tend to disappear sometimes, hide in obscure places, and come back to light after a while. Nobody knows if this is due to their extravagance, or to the will of reminding you how important and useful they can be.
Your peanut will come back. Just when you stop searching for it, or when you decide to get another one.
You will see. :)

Don't worry, it might just show up in an unexpected place. I recently found my long lost Pelican flashlight inside of one of our recliners.

Best way to find it is to buy another. As soon as you send the payment, the lost knife will show up. And then you'll have two, which is always nice.

Sorry to hear about your lost little companion, but hey...now you get to break in a new one!

That really sucks. I almost lost my peanut in a parking lot in Dallas, Texas. I was getting into the car closing the door, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw my peanut laying on the asphalt. It had crawled out of my pocket. Talk about a close call! Sorry to hear that you lost your little companion, maybe retrace you steps and try to find it? Also, in order to avoid this issue I stuff a handkerchief over top of it, and frequently check to make sure it's there. So far, so good.

Bow our heads and have a moment of silence for a fallen brother.

From a sibling and a distant cousin.
I hope you find it, maybe it's hanging out with a missing sock.
Chances are you will find it when you buy a new one.

This is why I love this forum. Thank you so much for all your support in this difficult time.

I was watching a video I made yesterday about the Peanut, and broke immedatly down, and ordered me a yeller CV one. I cannot do without it.

I think the video explaines really well what I think about the Peanut, and I belived I jinxed it when at the end I said: "God forbid I loose it."
As for looking for it, I am pretty sure I lost it on the bus in a pretty trafficated area. I had it on me when I did a pocket check while waiting for it.

That´s hard to hear, Art. Sorry for that. It´s hard to loose a knife you´ve carried a long time. It became more than a fellow, it became a friend :(

I hope your new one will do it as well as your old one has done... Sorry, man!

Kind regards
Andi

It's distressing to me to hear of a lost peanut. It's always a shame when a pocket knife goes missing in action, but the peanut issue strikes too close to home for me. I'll always wonder who finds it, will they treat it nice and take care of it, or abuse it by prying and scraping with it? Or will it lay in some cold wet place and suffer a slow rusting end? Kind of like a pet going missing, a lack of closure. There's always the wondering what happened. The late night self doubts of did you shove that bandana down on top of it? Midnight binges of heavy drinking and depression.

Or you can just go get another one and go on with life.:D

Of course, loosing a peanut places you on double secret probation. We'll be watching!

Carl.

sorry to hear about you losing your little knife. Hope the new one brings you as much joy :)

Here she is. The F&F isn`t as good as my old one, there are gaps between the scales and bolster, and the grinds are way off, but I still love it. Feels so good to have it in my pocket again. My first yeller CV Case.

Good looking knife, bud! While there may be fancier peanuts, the yella and CV is the most classic of all. Not to mention if you look back on leaving someplace, the yella will stick out like a signal flag.

Yep, I lost mine, no idea where. Broke down and got ready to order one, found it when I got to work the next day, sitting in the parking lot.
